Great location in the centre of this laid back small surf community. The beach is just a few steps away. Laying on the balcony in the hammock listening to the waves was wonderful. There was a fridge in the room - very useful. The cafe staff and owners are lovely and very helpful.

There was nothing I didn't like!

This was my second visit in two years. 21 wonderful days! It's clean, safe and the staff are very friendly. Café De La Suerte has an excellent menu and a large balcony overlooking the beach. A place that exudes freedom. Even the horses are!

This is our second time staying at Cafe de la Suerte and both times have been so wonderful. Its great for our little family. Its comfortable and the owners and staff are so nice and accomodating. They make you feel right at home.

The owners were super friendly and helpful and Hadas communicated with me early before the trip and helped connect me to the right locals to help me arrange activities. While we were there she let us know of activities like a little local market. yoga, and parties. We loved having an outdoor kitchen with a private garden space for hanging out. The rooms are super cute and artistically decorated. The location is literally right in the center of everything. You can see the waves from your room and everything you need is right there including board rentals. For those of us that don't surf, the river was very close for swimming and exploring and the town is very small and friendly with lots of public spaces for walking and wildlife watching. The food was amazing and the cappuccinos made by Ron were the best and strongest I have ever had anywhere in the world. I recommend going out on a boat tour if possible. We saw hundreds of spotted dolphins, and whales, and flying fish, and visited an organic farm with Dolphin Quest. It was amazing! We were able to buy fresh tuna right off the boats on the beach. The local people in this small town were very friendly. The owners arranged a private shuttle for us from and to the tiny airport in Golfito. There was an extra outdoor shower and sink which was nice. The kitchen was nice with a full size fridge and even a blender and things like coffee sugar and spices. Hot water.

We had to leave the lights on outside our room which meant we had to pull all the curtains and couldn't let any natural light in. The only thing that could be improved is some way to close the door with out latching it so you can keep the ac in without locking your partner out. We also pulled the double bed away from the wall as there is enough room and this was much nicer than sleeping against the wall. The food at the restaurant was expensive but it was soooo high quality and so delicious that it seems fair. Pavones is remote and you get the very best food, coffee, and smoothies in the world at Cafe de la Suerte. And we had a kitchen and restaurants and supermarkets nearby so we were able to feed ourselves if feeling frugal. It could be a little loud in the evenings but that was due to the fact that we were conveniently located right in the center of town next to all the activity and we had such full days that we were in bed crazy early. There are plenty of remote places in this friendly little town and Cafe Suerte has a little cabin for rent if you want solitude over convienance. Really there is nothing we can complain about and we would love to come back.
