Utan Teluk Nipah

Just our type of place to stay. From the moment of arrival the staff couldn’t do enough for us. They met the taxi to carry our cases up the steep incline, laundered our clothes and even found a little screwdriver to mend my glasses. We even hired a scooter from them at very little cost. Breakfast catered for different tastes:- roti, scrambled eggs, sausage, spring rolls, curry samosas, toast, watermelon etc. The highlight was when a pied hornbill joined us for watermelon, the monkeys a little less welcome but nice to watch from afar. The cabin itself had a lovely comfortable bed with curtains to keep out the mosquitoes. Great little hanging rail with plenty of coat hangers (often lacking in hotels), hairdryer, kettle and coffee, creamer and sugar. A bedside table at Lee’s side and dresser. The wet room had a heated shower, conditioning shampoo, shower gel, soaps and toilet rolls. Nice big towels. Overall an excellent place to stay and we’d give it 11 out of 10 and would certainly recommend or stay again.

If anything could possibly do with a toilet rolls holder - we put ours on the sink pipes to avoid it getting wet by the shower or falling onto the floor from the cistern. A squidgy to usher the water towards the drain would also have been useful, we could’ve used the floor towels, but preferred to keep this at the door of the bathroom. The steep incline is not for the faint hearted but if you’re fit - we classed it as part of our exercise routine - or want to hire a scooter it’s not a problem.

Frühstück einfach, aber ausreichend. Sehr schön eingerichteter Bungalow. Coral Beach sehr schön. Restaurant Nipah Deli sehr empfehlenswert. Guten Roller direkt an der Unterkunft gemietet.

Leider hatte im Dorf wegen Ramadan vieles geschlossen.

Such lovely people, both the owner and the personnel. They truly helped us out with any questions and arrangements. Very lovely place in nature and with a view. We saw hornbills during breakfast and monkeys in the evening.

Nothing was even slightly deteriorating to the experience

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room had a beautiful woody interior that created a serene and calming ambiance. The room itself was spacious, large, and very clean, which made it comfortable throughout my stay. The toilet was also impressively spacious and well-maintained. One of my favorite features was the balcony—it was absolutely lovely and a perfect spot to relax. The surrounding sounds of nature added to the peaceful atmosphere, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The owner was very helpful and friendly, and the front desk staff (Din) was kind, approachable, and always ready to assist. Their hospitality really made a difference. Overall, a wonderful stay for anyone looking to unwind in a tranquil environment.

One thing to note is that the road leading to the hotel is quite steep as it is located on higher ground. It might be a bit challenging for some, but if you’re used to riding (especially on a motorbike), it should be manageable. In the end, the elevated location offers a great view, which makes it all worthwhile. Overall, it was a wonderful stay—perfect for anyone looking to relax and enjoy a peaceful, nature-filled environment.

War sehr schön, fast im Wald. Der Aufstieg ist sehr steil , aber sie fahren die Koffer rauf, wenn man vorher anruft. Frühstück war gut.

This is my second time here. It’s perfect for people who love nature and hills — the view from the hill overlooking the sea is incredibly chill and healing. The staff are friendly, and the simple breakfast in the morning is warm and comforting.

You have to climb a hill, which may not be very suitable for elderly people.
