Waterland Lodge

I unfortunately never had breakfast at the property. But I enjoyed the nature surrounding the property. It was really beautiful. The place really gave a sense of peace and relaxation.

Very comfortable room in a perfect location for those wanting to be right between Hout Bay and Constantia. The property is large and has pets onsite which makes it very welcoming to stay here. We were here for one night only so didn't get to enjoy the area as we hadn't anticipated the marathon that would block off the main road the next day. The host was kind and knowledgable and helped us find a spot to park where we would have good movement to leave the area.

Wunderschön angelegter Garten. Man fühlt sich wie in einer Oase. Der Frühstückskorb ließ keine Wünsche offen. Toller Spielplatz für die Kinder.

The accommodation itself was comfortable and clean, and overall the stay was pleasant. The setting was nice and I appreciated the effort put into the place.

On the morning of departure, I had an unsettling experience where a large dog on the property charged at me quite aggressively, which made me feel unsafe. Although someone called the dog back, it was still a very uncomfortable situation. I also reached out to the property privately to share this feedback, but unfortunately received no response, which was disappointing. Better management of pets and communication would improve the experience.

Absolutely stunning venue, comfortable, well appointed, definitely more than the price suggests.

Only negative is we couldn't stay longer or we would have.
