"Beautiful place, but had a very bad food poisoning"

8.0

The hotel is beautiful! Clean, cozy rooms with a nice outside area, cute infinity pool - everything looks amazing!

There are 3 different things I would like to mention: 1. The towels could be cleaner and they smelled strange. 2. The communication is so annoying! I understand if the hotel wants to know the arrival time to check if the room can be available earlier or so and the departure time to assist with luggage. But looks like they want to know just out of curiosity. 3. I had a serious food poisoning after eating Zebu fillet at the last dinner there. Just to prevent questions and confusion: no, it wasn’t because of my malaria pills and no, I didn’t eat anything outside the hotel. It took me several days, one doctor visit and antibiotics to recover from the poisoning. Have you ever had a 12 hours road trip while suffering from food poisoning? So much fun, trust me. To be fair I need to say that my husband ate at the same restaurant and was fine (he had pasta, looks like it us safe) and the first dinner was ok-ish (at least didn’t cause any problems). Fried pineapple is very tasty.

"Un havre de paix et de confort à Andasibé !"

10.0

Un bel établissement, bien tenu aux portes du parc national d’Andasibe Mantadia

Pas grand chose à vrai dire… La literie pourrait être plus ferme, jugement très personnel.

The setting and the property is absolutely gorgeous! The rooms are very clean and comfortable.

I got food poisoning from their food. DO NOT EAT THE HAMBURGER. Three days later and I’m still suffering. And since it’s so remote, you do not have other options for food.

"Nice property, sadly the worst hotel management that I have ever encountered."

1.0

There is a lot to like about the hotel facilities and location, however our experience at this hotel and with its staff were simply appalling and we could never recommend the property as a result, nor would we ever stay there again whilst the current management team is in place. After eating at the properties restaurant for all of our meals that day, my young son and I came down with severe food poisoning. These things unfortunately happen and this is not the reason for the poor review, it was the disgraceful and appalling behavior of the management and in particular the overall hotel manager for the property that earn this rating. After poisoning us rather than trying to support us and show some empathy for the situation, the management continued to deny that they were at fault for the situation and pressed us to leave the property, even though both my son and I were gravely ill. The claims and excuses they made with regards to why this was not food poisoning of the properties doing ranged from bizarre to the idiotic. It is pretty simple, if we ate nowhere else in the 24 hours prior, it is simply not possible that we could have contracted the food poisoning elsewhere. The most bizarre excuse offered was that it was our malaria medication that caused the violent bouts of vomiting and diarrhea, given that we had been taking the medication for a week prior and had taken the last dose 18-20 hours prior to becoming ill, the excuse was just an insult to my intelligence. Never before have I been treated this poorly in a hotel of any standard, let alone one of this standard. I would not stay here again if they paid me to.

I think it is pretty clear.
