Kidepo Savannah Lodge by NATURE LODGES LTD

A memorable location. The views from the hill overlooking the Kidepo Valley are priceless. The tents are comfortable and they serve great food. A set 4 course menu every day. Staff is friendly and helpful. The nearest gate is a few hundred meters so entering the park is a matter of minutes. A great place to enjoy the highlight of Uganda. The best national park they have to offer.

Nothing. It was perfect

Everything!! Outstanding location. Superb staff, comfortable tents with en suite baths and hot water! The biggest and best surprise was the quality of meals - all excellent.

There is nothing I didn't like except for the failure for the lions to show up in the park while I was there.

Breafast was good, but when coming later within the breakfast time the buffet was not complete anymore.

Location is perfect and lodge confortable

Despite our booking mentionned Visa was accepted but on arrival only cash was and the manager wanted us to go to an ATM (at Kitgum 132 kms from the lodge ?!?!?!). We have almost been refused and had to insist. Later we understood that Visa machine was out of order so they found normal that we had to solve (6 hours driving) a problem THEY had. When trying to make a bank transfer they tryed to get 3% additionnal fees compared to the fee received by mail at booking. Generally the personnel is unfair and lack of hospitality. The above issue poisonned our stay.

Location and views perfect, close to entrance Kidepo NP.

* They charge a surcharge for payment by credit card, while they would automatically debit the payment in advance (so without a surcharge). Because the hotel does not do this conform agreement, the visitor is confronted with extra and unnecessary costs. They refused to cooperate with a solution. * we got sick, probably because the food is rinsed under the tap and/or tap water is used.

Very friendly staff with great location, fixed food menu which may not suit all, however the food is of a good standard.

Nothing we didn't like about the place, people, room or food. However when you go to check out to be told they don't take credit cards comes as a big suprise, especially as on booking.com it says it does. If you didn't have a large amount of cash on you I have no idea how you would pay because you are several hours from any place you could get money. So they need to make it very obvious they don't take credit cards.

the staff delayed the payment of small change (14,000 UGX) extraordinary long- we assume they hoped to get this amount as tip.
