Clean property, good ambiance and friendly staff

It is a nice cosy place. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. However, as it was on ground floor it was impossible to stay without drawing the curtains. The ground floor rooms must have frosted glass to provide privacy or else one can't have natural light

Food prices were on a higher side and in the room price, which was also a bit high for the property, breakfast was not included which was not a good thing. Parking is a major issue. The staff managed to get us a parking a bit far away in some other property. As this was off season time it worked but I wonder what happens when the rush increases during season. Plus commuting to town is a big hassle. The cab takes iNR 300 to drop and same to get you back. Plus the hot water was enough for only one person to bathe. They need to improve the water heating capacity

Nice and quaint setup. Friendly and helpful staff. Location a bit further than expected and room could be bigger but overall well-furnished, cosy and comfortable. Travelled with elderly parent and staff were very polite and accommodating.. A bit more expensive than expected but overall a good stay and will recommend..

Location quite high up passing very narrow and steep lanes.. Room heating was inconsistent.. could use more kitchen staff to expand food options. But good service overall.

I visited the place with my mom. Initially she was skeptical of my hotel selection because Sakley's resort is located a little uphill from the Mall road, but their service was so good that we have decided to stay there if we visit again. The rooms are well maintained and the decor is very soothing. The entire property is beautifully decorated and very well-maintained. There are glass cubicles where you can have your meals. The food is also great. We stayed for a total of 5 days and ordered quite a few things for the duration of our stay and loved all their dishes. Their vegetable lemon coriander soup deserves a special mention since it far exceeded my expectations. The staff is extremely helpful and well-behaved. The manager had contacted me the day before we reached and arranged a taxi for us to be picked up from Kathgodam station and we were also dropped off at the station by the same taxi the day we were returning. They also packed us complimentary lunch the day we were returning. I would definitely recommend the place to anyone visiting Nainital.

The resort is located a little uphill, where the forest area begins so it is not very convenient to return too late at night. However, you will find taxis that will drive you up from the mall road for around 200 rupees. There is a shorter route that you can take to reach the mall road from the resort in 15-20 minutes. The road is significantly steep so walking downhill takes 15-20 minutes but walking uphill can be difficult for older people. The other way round is 2-3 Kms and mostly not so steep. It also gets pretty dark after sundown to take that route. This shouldn't be a problem for people who travel with their personal cars or have access to a car at all times.

Our one-night stay at the cottage was an absolute delight. The location was simply breathtaking, perched atop the hills with stunning views of Nainital Lake. While the road leading to the hotel was a bit challenging to navigate by car, the hotel's prompt taxi service ensured a hassle-free arrival. However, what truly set this experience apart was the exceptional hospitality and personalized attention we received from the cottage staff. Their warmth and care made us feel right at home. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, offering every amenity imaginable. It was the perfect sanctuary to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the beautiful Nainital.

- the property is located at dead end of the road, which is difficult to reach if you have a group of people by car - no on prem parking as stated in the offer, we were asked to park on the street - service was too slow. Fully paid breakfast took about an hour to get prepared - menu was too expensive, especially when you could order zomato for fraction of the prices. Nothing reasonably priced on menu - washrooms were merely clean with names of the previous lodgers still written on the mirror. - no place for drivers to sleep at. We had to pay 1800 INR to arrange for an additional bed for the driver - after paying roughly 19k INR for a day, everyone who served us asked for chai pani money in the end. It seems like the staff is not paid properly at the property Overall with the money we paid the experience was very poor to say the least. Tons of other better options on Nainital with great accessibility.
