Rooms were very dirty

A well located, distinctive place, close to the main sights of Maheshwar. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place has a wonderful, picturesque open-air cafe under the wall of the fort.

Staying in a converted room in the fort gatehouse is a wow factor and an amazing location.

It was like sleeping on the floor. The bed mattress was so hard it could have had bricks in it, no give at all. Budget room up stone steps was quirky and excellent but the shower hot water tap fell off although we could just use it if we were careful. Power often off but understand that is not the the property fault.

The restaurant closes very early in the night.

We were travelling from Mumbai to Bhopal and decided to halt in Maheshwar, choosing Labbooz almost by chance after finding it on Booking.com. It turned out to be an excellent decision. We reached very late at night and had requested that some food be kept aside for us. Even though the restaurant had closed, the watchman, Naren Singh, opened it for us and served us a hot meal. That gesture alone set the tone for the stay. The location is exceptional. The rooms are built into the original fort structure, right beside the ancient gate. The stone-walled, gothic-style rooms retain the character of the fort, while the interiors have been tastefully upgraded for comfort. The café is one of the strongest highlights. The menu is simple but thoughtfully curated, and the food was consistently good. With different dietary preferences in our family, we still found enough options for everyone. The staff deserves special mention. Nilesh, who served us during most of our meals, was attentive, warm, and quick to suggest dishes based on what we like. His cheerful nature makes the experience even better. Ashutosh was equally helpful, guiding us on what to see and do in Maheshwar - his recommendations were spot on. The managers were efficient and supportive throughout. Watchment during the day (Manohar) was also well-mannered. A genuinely welcoming place with great food, unique rooms, and an outstanding team. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Maheshwar.

Wifi could have been better. There were no doors in the toilet (it should have been covered). Something should be done for the soundproofing, since the hotel is in the middle of the market.

Excellent breakfast, don't miss their aloo paratha!

Weak water pressure in the shower, noisy as it's right on the street.
