The stuff was lovely as well as the location at the sea

Well, with lodges for 130 dollars, far away from tourism, you would think you could get a little more. Unfortunately, that was absolutely not the case. The cottage was ok at first. However, the mosquito protection for the bed was much too small for 2 people (see pictures). With a junk fan this leads to extreme heat at night. And if you think "that's why we're here, to enjoy togetherness", you're wrong. The cottege is protected by a net on the sides, so everyone could look straight inside, and easaly cut the net. (See pics) The bolt on the door is also very easy to operate from the outside. The night was absolutely horrible - the lamps are turned off on the site at night, you can't see your hand in front of your face. The wind is whipping, dogs are scratching at your door and we felt like we were being watched all the time. You might be wondering, have we watched too many horror movies? Or are we just aware of the crime of the domrep? The poverty of the people and the anger towards tourists? We have traveled extensively, but this night at this price was horrible! The bar and restaurant were pitch black at 7pm, and we couldn't get any more beer. They could make us a few fries. Value for money is a joke - with no security. Yes, the gates will be closed at the front, if there wouldnt be various holes on the right fence.. and you can easily get across the beach. Before u book, think carefully. By the way, the staff was extremely nice - it's the owner who should think about his price. In the end... Are we afraid? Or have we already experienced enough and are rather careful? decide for yourself!

The bungalows on the beach are stunningly beautiful, like a glamping deluxe experience - with electricity for charging phones, a great mosquito net, shower and toilet and all amenities you need. The staff are very friendly - and we are very grateful to Diori and José for making our stay amazing (the breakfast was a real treat)! We had the fantastic beach pretty much to ourselves which gave us a feeling of being on a private island. You can walk for hours on the beach without meeting anyone except for local fishermen. The restaurant is amazing, but due to blackouts following the hurricane the menu was a bit limited. We are so happy we went here instead of the more crowded tourist areas - this was a unique experience!
