Very narrow driveway

Location, clean, well set up

The view was great, and once inside, the property was large and fully self contained. It was clean, water pressure was good and bed was OK.

We had trouble finding the property and had to go to the information centre for directions. They had not heard of the property, but when they was the names on my email they knew who they were and explained how to get there. Up a VERY narrow drive that we only just managed to fit up in our 4WD, and behind a house, we found a double storey property that looked like a dump. It was old and tatty, the doors were worn and there was a flight of rickety looking steps to go up to retrieve the keys, which were on the table. Once inside, the space was large and clean and in contrast to the exterior. The view was great, but the desk and furniture looked unsafe so we stayed indoors. There was a washing machine, but it was outside, under the deck, with very dodgy wiring and no instructions.

Difficult to find - no signage or street number. The 'villa' turned out to be the upper floor of a shabby old two-storey house situated behind another house an accessed by a long, unsealed driveway that was too narrow to negotiate in my rented SUV. There were no photos of the property on the website, only the interior, which looked OK. Had I known what it looked like or that we would have to climb up and down stairs to stay there, I would not have booked. I rang the proprietors to advise that it was unsatisfactory and we would have to find somewhere else to stay. They chose not to refund my money or even offer a rebate.
