Location, staff and the peacefulness.

Sehr schöne Zelte mit Blick ins outback. Sehr gutes Abendessen. Zum Frühstück konnten wir uns ein Paket mitnehmen bei früher Abreise.

Um zu den Ensuite Zelten zu gelangen muss man nochmal 2km mit dem Autofahren, dh zum Abendessen muss man fahren oder eben lange laufen.

The setting was peaceful with nice outback views, and it offered reasonable access to Kings Canyon.

The tent was completely unable to cope with the extreme heat, reaching over 50°C inside even with the air-conditioning running constantly. There is no air-conditioning in the bathroom annex, and no communal cool area for guests to safely escape the heat during the day. Most concerning was the dismissive response from management, who indicated that this was simply “the risk you take” at this time of year, despite the lack of any warning during booking. This felt negligent, as guests — especially international travellers — would not expect the accommodation to become unsafe in typical local temperatures.

Las tiendas super sencillas. La habitación no estaba lista al llegar aunque nos dieron las llavespara entrar Los servicios cutres y sucios Se te van las ganas de meterte en esas duchas en la tienda cocina faltan utensilios caro por lo k se ofrece, pero como no hay mucho donde elegir .....

It is rugged and really feels like you are in Outback. Liked that breakfast and dinner were included.

We chose a terrible time to visit: late spring, almost summer… WAY too hot to stay in a tent - even an air conditioned one. We booked at Mort Conway which was located about 5 minutes down the road, through a locked gate. Not the most convenient for breakfast and dinner (included) - these meals were ample, delicious.

The Station serve a very good breakfast , offers fuel and infos about the Mereenie loop.

Outback-Feeling pur. Wir haben 2 Nächte in einem Bush Tent übernachtet. Es ist wirklich sehr basic, aber das macht es ja aus. Wir hatten 2x Besuch von ungiftigen, aber großen Spinnen. Die Sauberkeit von Gemeinschaftsbad und -Küche war ok. In der Küche gibt es kein Kochfeld! Mikrowelle, Wasserkocher, Kühlschrank und Elektrogrill, sowie Geschirr sind vorhanden. Zum Kings Canyon sind es 38 km. Es gibt ein Restaurant mit ziemlich leckeren Burgern. Ansonsten hält der Minimarkt nicht, was man erhofft. Außer Softdrinks und Chips gibt es wenig. Wer selbst kochen will, oder Proviant für die Wanderung benötigt, sollte sich in Alice Springs oder Yulara eindecken. Der Pool ist nett und schön schattig. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Ein Hinweis für die Reiseplanung: bei zu erwartenden Tagestemperaturen über 36 Grad wird der Kings Canyon rim walk ab 9 Uhr gesperrt.

Great breakfast. Included dinner is very convenient. Need to drive 3km from check-in to the cabin. Petrol service on site for unleaded 91 - which is not available in Kings Canyon. Advice regarding road trip options are very helpful.

It is the most expensive night (we have one with private toilet) through our entire NT trip but there's not much choice nearby.
