Lalibela Wildlife Reserve - Mark's Camp Family Lodge

The people and the animal experience. Food was really great and the stay was comfortable and clean with beauty. Had the greatest ranger guide in Teacher. Amazing !!!

Everything and everyone was perfect there is nothing I did not like.

Everything was just perfect. The rooms. The Service. The food. The safaris with Nel. So interesting to learn about nature and animals. She she did the safari with so much passion, professionalism and so much fun. Exceptional. We had the best time ever. We stayed for two nights but it felt like a week. Nothing to add. If any chance we would love to come back anytime.

The lodge staff looked after us very well. The bed was extremely comfortable and the food was good and plentiful. The infinity pool is lovely and the longe fireside was welcoming after a game drive. The game drives were good, we saw 4 of the big 5 almost straight away plus 20-30 species of wildlife. We were fortunate to have a vehicle and ranger to ourselves half of the time, which was great. The cheetah with her cubs were so cute, it was easily our favourite sighting.

Mostly what we didn’t like was the behaviour of some of the other guests, especially those who let their children run wild and scream if they didn’t get their own way! Obviously beyond the control of the lodge. The only thing within their control would have been to repair the Boma (which we gather had been out of action for some time) for an outside dining experience.

What an amazing place- they upgraded our accommodation before we arrived as marks camp is more family friendly. We stayed at treetops which was so amazing- our room was gorgeous and the staff so friendly and attentive. M bAli and her team looked after us beautifully and Sivi our ranger was the best- we really lucked out- so knowledgable about the animals- an amazing experience.

Nothing- it was beautiful

The whole experience exceeded our expectations. The food is superb and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. They went through the trouble of making a separate meal for my partner to accommodate his food allergies. They also went to the trouble of setting up a screen and provided us with snacks to watch the rugby. We also got to see 4 of the Big 5 in one evening!
