The location is excellent. The terrace area is lovely with great views and all weather protection. Food was good, though perhaps not very traditional. The host and family are very friendly.

Would have liked more choice of menu. The sleeping cabins could have a window for ventilation

Ermina and Remo were exceptional hosts. We arrived at the Katun on a very rainy afternoon, quite wet and cold. Remo immediately lit the stove in the dining room and Ermina provided us with hot tea. We spent a very cosy evening and enjoyed a delicious meal. The following, chilly morning we enjoyed breakfast with our hosts in their warm kitchen. A lovely stay with kind people. Thank you so much.

The location is incredible. Out of this world. Great for small hikes, I drove around the National park, I have a solid 4x4 which is 100% required, please don't try in a small car especially if you are not comfortable with driving. Views are insane. Loved being able to watch the man work with his animals. The food was amazing and perfect for the night, so great. Really pleasant family, kind and friendly. Very cute, and sneaky, cat who tried to steal my food.

I booked as a single person, but a twin bed Incase my partner showed up from his hike. I didn't get a twin room, but a single, and when my partner showed, we wouldn't have been able to fit into the single. He's 197cm tall... and I'm not little. The host did offer to move us to a larger cabin, which was very kind. Although there were enough blankets, I found this very cold. I stayed here at the very end of September and the temperature was in mid single digits. This meant I didn't sleep great, however I am confident the family would provide extra blankets, it's just it was cold. Like I had a cold nose out of the blankets. I think this would be perfect had it been a bit warmer, so keep in mind the temperature when you book.

We had a really good time staying here! Right on the trail of Peak of Balkans - but a bit of a walk higher from Babino Polje but we were glad for it the next day. Lovely hosts, warm fire & great food. Perfect for a day off !

Food was excellent -the best we had during our 6-days Peaks of the Balkans hike. Location is beautiful.

Unfortunately the weather was dreadful and there are no indoor areas so it was very cold during breakfast and dinner in the outdoor restaurant. Had to pay extra for breakfast, dinner and packed lunch. Would be better if at least breakfast was included in the room rate. No electricity, just solar power. No wifi (not a complaint but useful for other travellers to know).

Perfectly located along the Peaks of the Balkans. Although we stayed there during rainy and windy weather, the lovely hosts made the stay so memorable with good food, warm blankets and being super welcoming.
