Amazing facilities, close to the river

We were very happy with our studio chalet. Fabulous short stroll to the river. Walk down to jetty where you have a lovely table with seating facing the river as you have a meal. Dip your feet in the cool refreshing water and watch the sunset. We did not use the chalet provided kayaks but they were available to borrow. Very basic, clean and practical accomodation. Everything we needed was provided - very comfy beds, TV/DVD player, lounge, dining table/ chairs, portable heater, pedestal fan, good shower, crisp linen, well equipped kitchen including crockery, utensils, pans, sandwich press, microwave, Nespresso machine, portable stove, large fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, oven gloves, tea towels, coffee pods, instant coffee, tea bags, sugar, small uht milk, great nightlight, soap, broom, dustpan. All our needs were sufficiently catered for. Thanks to the chalet staff and owners for thoughtful amenities for a great stay. We never saw the staff but knew we could contact the office if needed.

Nothing really significant to spoil our stay. Note there is no wifi in room and our Optus and Telstra coverage was temperamental. No stove/oven. We did not use the portable stove. Maybe an air fryer would have been great as there was no oven. There were 3 electric points in the kitchen and 8 potential appliances. Had to unplug and plug often. 3 hangers provided and could do with some more. There were no recycling bins/facilities on property. Restaurant was always closed when we went. BYO food because there is not much around to purchase. Info in the instruction folder was a bit dated.

The property is located close to the river, with direct access to the river and jetty. There is also a restaurant (albeit not a great one) adjacent to the property. There are laundry facilities availably on the property.

The unit we stayed in (Willy Wagtail) is right next to the main road, so the traffic noise during the day was somewhat inconvenient. The traffic at least lessen considerably at night. There is no WIFI. The unit we stayed in doesn't offer a view of the river.

Excellent location facing the river and a wall of trees. Loved the visits from the finches, 28 parrots, rosellas and honey eaters. Nice heated towel rack in the bathroom and a good selection of kitchen appliances / tools. Easy to drive to locations north and south

The tight proximity of chalets left little space for parking / the driveway between chalets.

Two days weather exceptionally hot. Cabin unbearable no AC.
