Firstly, Easter Island is a PHENOMENAL place to go!!! If you are currently at the ‘looking at accommodation to decide if you want to go there’ part of your trip planning, the simple answer is BOOK THE TRIP! Yes, it’s expensive and quite a long journey to get to Easter Island. No, you won’t regret it! Yes, it’s worth every penny you will spend when on the island. No, you won’t shut up about it when you get home! Right, now that you’re committed to the trip – BOOK THIS ACCOMODATION. The hostal owner, Patricio, set the tone of our stay from the moment he picked us up at the airport and presented us with a gorgeous lei. He was warm, welcoming and super helpful. He gave us a tour of the town and pointed out the key locations before taking us to the hostal where he gave us even more info and his WhatsApp number. There’s only a handful of rooms at the hostal; we stayed in a double room with sea view – it had a little terrace area outside to sit and enjoy the stunning views of the sea and mountains. The room was small but as we didn’t spend much time there it was perfectly fine (with a decent shower too). There’s no A/C but an electric fan that did the trick at keeping us cool (we went Mid-March, so the temp stayed around 25 degrees), and there’s lots of power sockets in the walls to charge up devices. The hostal grounds are well-kept and stunning with lots of flowers and little beautiful nods within the décor to Easter Island culture. In regards to location, it was a 12 min walk to the local supermarket (called Henua Market) which was well-stocked (prices are like UK prices). Eating out on the island can be quite expensive so we opted to cook most of our own dinners - the hostal has the most well-equipped kitchen we’ve ever seen at a hostal! It had everything we wanted, and plenty of equipment we’d never need but were happy to see (including a lemon squeezer and garlic press!).

La ubicación frente al mar es excepcional, se ven atardeceres maravillosos desde la terraza de la cabaña, la cual es muy cómoda con espacios amplios y equipados, además al llegar estaba limpio y ordenado, Katherine es muy amable, nos fue a recibir y a dejar al aeropuerto, siempre estuvo atenta a dar respuesta a nuestras consultas.

La ubicación, atención y amabilidad de Katty fueron los factores por los que nuestra estancia superó las expectativas. 100% recomendable!

La vista del lugar es una de las mejores de la isla

Un peu excentré mais vue exceptionnelle Cuisine bien équipée pour se préparer les petits déjeuner et repas. Le personnel est très sympa

El lugar es justo lo que todo viajero aventurero necesita: ✅ Buena ducha ✅ Buen internet ✅ Buena cama ✅ Privilegiada ubicación ✅ Sin cucarachas Si bien el lugar se encuentra un poco alejado del centro (20 min caminando por el borde costero) vale la pena la tranquilidad y vista al mar. No necesitas ir hasta el centro para ver un hermoso atardecer, en frente del hostal hay un acantilado PRECIOSO. Las habitaciones son cómodas, hay espacio para dejar tus cosas y también lockers para dejar allí lo de mayor valor. Sin dudas lo recomiendo. Brindan sábanas, toalla y papel higiénico. Amé demasiado la recibida y despedida de sus anfitriones. Muchas gracias Patricio y Katty 🥰

Tip viajero: lleven zapatillas de agua, la playa donde se puede hacer snorkel contiene muchas piedras resbalosas. Servicio ida y vuelta al aeropuerto incluído en el precio 😊 y si, hay collar de flores al recibirte! 😍
