Villa Larnaca Bay Resort

Excellent location, very good size for a family with a downstairs bedroom and shower room and toilet. The property is very private. 3 double bedrooms with 2 being en-suite.

We weren’t able to use the pool area all day on the first day due to gardeners working, which was fine if we’d had prior warning. Pool was dirty when we arrived and not cleaned until the following evening. Then olives dropped into it constantly for the rest of our stay. (Gardeners should have cut back when they were there all day) Only 3 sun loungers and 1 of those was broke, feel there should be at least 4 since villa sleeps at least 6. Barbecue not in great condition.

Was met at the villa and given a tour and shown all the features etc.

Size and layout were good, with private pool.

The oven wasn’t working on arrival and they clearly knew about this long before we stayed. It took 4 days to resolve and was no a priority for them until I pushed the issue repeatedly. Despite numerous requests for a discount to compensate for the lack of facilities and inconvenience nothing was offered. The oven was replaced but only two rings on the hob worked and this was not fixed, more over they were clearly cross wired and it was on the same mains switch as the washing machine. When the oven was fixed, it was fitted so tightly we had to call them back as it blocked the cupboard door which had all the crockery in. (Which had been hanging off its hinge: again they clearly knew about this before we arrived. All cupboards needed some TLC, especially the top ones which had to be held open. The unit under the TV had a loose fitting to the front of a glass drawer, which almost fell on one of our group as it was carefully opened. Welcome info was minimal and did not compare to the detail we’ve been provided at local rentals before. eg. Recycling/ waste/ bio disposal. Pool and gardening contracted days. Arrival was complicated by the location shown on booking.com is actually in the resort area next door (a different gate.) Luckily our taxi driver was great and spoke to the host who just kept telling us to use the location given. Although it wasn’t far away, we had group members who couldn’t walk too far and the distance made a difference to what they could do. eg. Walking to a favoured beach, local restaurant and shop. Once we raised issues, our original female host was joined by a burly male companion, both Russian. He spoke no English, but was clearly in charge of the finances and screwdriver repairs! His approach didn’t make us at all comfortable. It felt like the place was staged to look more impressive and of higher quality than it is. The microwave was dirty, so were crockery & cutlery and floors had not been mopped.

The property was a fantastic size for the family and very close to the beach which was great. The pool was very good too. The actual property was better than the pictures looked on Booking.com.

Huge villa with 2 good sized bedrooms & one very large one with an amazing en-suite bathroom. Pool was great & location was good. Everything that we needed was there.

The beds were very very firm & it was more comfortable to sleep on the sofa. Only 3 sun beds in the garden which wasn’t great as there was 4 of us on the booking. I asked for an extra one, got told that it was requested to the owner but we never got it & just got a shrug of the shoulders by the host & was told it would arrive after we left. The host also let herself into our property whilst we were all in bed & came upstairs in the villa uninvited, which we were not impressed with at all. Host wasn’t particularly friendly.

The host was very friendly and accommodating. Everything was exceptionally clean. Everyone had an enjoyable stay with no issues at all.
