STAY Panorama - Kamelia Villa

DO NOT STAY HERE. We arrived and the downstairs was infested with ants. When we notified the stay team, they sent out pest control who wanted to spray the entire property with toxic pesticide - we had three children including a baby so this was not possible. - So from then they continued to refuse to allow us to checkout early due to this, then tried to blame US saying we must have caused it - despite photo evidence that it was there when we arrived. My husband is an amputee and the state of the floor made it downright degrading to shuffle on it when he needed to. Awful staff correspondence. They took no responsibility. I contacted booking.com and they agreed with me, asking the company to refund the rest of the stay but they refused. Literally all of our belongings downstairs were crawling with ants it was a disaster. I couldn’t cook without them crawling all over the hob, utensils, food, everywhere I’ve never seen anything like it! The beds are like sleeping on concrete, horrifically uncomfortable. There was a previous review warning of this but I didn’t realise quite how bad it was. The place had not been cleaned when we arrived, I have lots of photos of this but still, the stay team ignored me and told me it was clean. The pool isn’t heated and doesn’t get covered so it’s ice cold, and not very clean. A man turns up unannounced in the morning and lets himself in to fish out some bugs. The location is right up in the hills so must have a car, however, Pegeia is very beautiful - just stay elsewhere!!!

Very nice bathroom, living room, swimming pool, nice decoration all over the house.

No dressing table in the master bedroom. Only 2 chairs was at the sitting area where the swimming pool is, although we needed 4 as we were 4 people.

A nice 2 bedroom house on the hill of Peyeia village. It was clean, well equipped (kitchen) and in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts were easy accessible via WhatsApp messages.

You need to pay 'damage deposit', which you will receive back after your stay (if everything was okay after you left). I think it was not mentioned while I was making the booking on the booking.com

Property was perfect for what we needed. Good value for money

Firstly, new sun loungers - broken back notches on them all meant we were unable to lie back as they fell out all the time. No toaster??? No bowl/plug to wash up in the kitchen sink or a washing line/airer to dry clothes? The outdoor seating area at the back of the property needs updating (and pruning as very overgrown) so we didn't use it at all - the table needs sanding/repainting as the children were at risk of hurting themselves; splinters etc. Sofas in the lounge need throws to protect them. No beach towels were provided as we had to buy ours. Pool shower head needs fixing - water does not come out properly. Pool filter is LOUD and on for too long throughout the day. Master bedroom mattress - TERRIBLE. Needs renewing/VERY uncomfortable.

The villa is great for 2 - 4 people (there are two separate bedrooms, one shower, two toilets). Everything was prepared as agreed, the self check-in process was clear, we received instructions well ahead. The villa's interior & patio with the pool look exactly as at the pictures. People from Stay were attentive and checking (via WA) if everything was ok, there was a guy regularly coming to clean the pool. The kitchen is pretty well equipped, in the villa itself there were plenty games and toys for kids. The location is perfect if you like to keep it quiet. But make sure to rent a car, there is no grocery, café or restaurant within a comfortable walking distance (plus the villa is at the top of of a really steep hill).

The wifi is unstable - standard work online is ok, audio calls worked well if only one of us two used the wifi, video streaming worked very rarely. The dining table at the patio might use some re-painting, sometimes we ended up with splinters, but it's nothing that would make the stay anyhow bad.
