A Magical Stay at Els Masos de Caula Our stay at Els Masos de Caula was nothing short of magical. We stayed in Paller de Dalt, and from the moment we arrived, everything was simply perfect. The house itself is thoughtfully designed and incredibly comfortable, but it was the breathtaking views from the lounge that truly stole our hearts — a sweeping, panoramic landscape that felt like something out of a dream. We spent countless hours on the spacious outdoor terrace, soaking up the serenity and enjoying long, leisurely dinners cooked on the built-in BBQ. Rosa, our host, was warm, attentive, and so kind. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her care and hospitality made us feel so welcome and looked after. Our bed was enormous, with luxurious linens that made it hard to leave in the mornings. The pool was heavenly — pristine and surrounded by nature. The entire property exudes tranquility. The grounds are lovingly maintained, and every corner feels like a secluded slice of paradise. We felt completely safe, peaceful, and wonderfully spoiled throughout our stay. Els Masos de Caula is a rare gem — a place where you can truly unwind, connect with nature, and feel at home.

Beautiful self contained villa with loads of amenities (BBQ, stove, etc), lots of things to do (local hikes and cycles) and incredible set-apart location nestled between the hills and with incredible views. You cannot do better for a peaceful get away to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle out In a very natural setting. Rosa was lovely, very accommodating and easily contactable.

Only thing to say is location is not ideal if you want regularly to go back and forth (reasonably long road to the property, some of which is gravel) - it is more designed as a get away (and it is perfect for that). Girona and thr other nearby towns are still easily accessible but wouldn't use the booking solely to access them.

What can I say other than what an amazing place to stay. Rosa went above and beyond to help with all our requests. One of the best places we ve ever stayed.

Excellent location. Very private. Beautiful grounds. Wonderful staff and service. Rosa is so sweet and wonderful to work with. They will drop fresh baked bread or pastries at your door in the morning, they have e-mountain bikes to rent, which are great. This is a great location to explore Janna and the surrounding area.

There really isn’t anything I could say that I didn’t like about the property at all. It’s wonderful!

I would like to write our impressions of the accommodation. The apartment "Mas Galline" was unique, cozy and well equipped. The surroundings of "Els Masos de Caula" are also beautiful, the view...But who we think is the heart of everything is Rosa. Professional but at the same time kind, helpful and patient. Beautiful location, lovely apartment, well equipped, very comfortable. Lluisa provided very good advance information about all practicalities and suggested names of local restaurants and Rosa, who provides all onsite assistance, is so welcoming and helpful and prepares a great breakfast. When I'd stayed last year, for the first time, I'd promised myself that I'd return for my birthday this year. I'd mentioned this to Rosa when she welcomed us and was really touched when she gifted me a bottle of excellent local Cava produced by the owner's cousin, from the management to celebrate. My friend and I enjoyed it sitting on the outside terrace whilst watching the sun set over the valley. Els Masos de Caula is a lovely haven of peace and tranquility up in the hills but less than a 30 minute drive into Girona and other local attractions. As on my first visit, I left wanting to return and explore more of the local area and enjoy the wonderful hospitality.

Situated in the most amazing location in the hills north-west of Girona, Els masos de Caula is literally off the beaten track. It was utterly peaceful: there were no traffic noises, just the sounds of the cicadas and had stunning views up and down the valley. The sky was truly dark at night allowing breathtaking views of the stars. The property is wonderfully appointed, very tasteful and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. The beds were extremely comfortable, thank you. The beautiful pool and the air conditioning were invaluable in the heat of late July. And Rosa! Rosa guided us when we were lost, greeted us when we arrived (all with the help of Google-translate!) and is the most beautiful human being. Nothing was too much trouble and she always had a smile on her face.
