Sangiro Game Lodge - Sustainable Electricity and Water

The location was great for our needs which was a stopover on route from Cape Town to Joburg. The check-in was easy and staff very welcoming and friendly. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The room was rustic (as expected) but very cosy and provided for our needs. We liked that there was a restaurant (steak house) on the premises which had a lovely atmosphere. It was lovely and quiet with guests that all appeared to be stopover guests as they were all gone early the next day. We chose not to have the breakfast, so I can't comment on it.

The only gripe I have is that that the bath towels were not good. There was a good hand towel and towel mat but the actual shower towels were not bath towels but just standard size and they were old and hard and starting to fray. Other than that all was good!

Shower was efficient

Noisy. No water mug. Duvet and blanket to small for bed. No carpets on sides of bed. Basin in bathroom very uncomfortable height to wash face.

We stopped overnight en-route to the Drakensberg travelling from Cape Town. Lovely big room with very comfortable king size bed. Complimentary tea & coffee. Great service. Close to the motorway for an easy stop over.
