Nathylodge

Amazing place, Clarisse is an brilliant host, and what a cook! The only slight thing i would have liked is an addition of a window/ventilation on the back/east side of the cabin, just to let some breeze flow through, also a stronger fan would be nice. No real complaints though.

We loved Clarisse, the host of Nathylodge and her family~ without their hospitality and warmth, quite frankly we would have been very disappointed with our choice of accommodations ...As Isla San Cristobal is a beautiful island, there are no roads, and everywhere you go has to be arranged with a boat. There are kayaks, and a dock to swim off of. The views from our little house, which sat high up, were amazing, during the day, and at night the stars. The howler monkeys made their voices clear, and we did have the opportunity to view a few, along with a sloth to watch as it made its way down from the tree next to us. From the moment we arrived to the last day, Clarisse only wanted to make sure we had what we needed, to the best she could offer. She is also an amazing cook, which led to some delicious dinners & desserts!! She arranged for all of transfers plus our tours with Miguel, the guide, who with we explored a lot of the other islands, near & far! New friends, we hope our paths cross again!!

Unfortunately, for us, we did not know in advance that there was a problem with their hot water system and we had but only cold showers. Plus, the pool which we imagined we would swim and hang around in all day, as the pictures showed on the site, ...was also enduring issues during our stay and it was only filled 1/2 way. :( Hopefully they get these 2 issues cleared up shortly.

The owners were extremely kind and helpful. The architecture and facilities are amazing and comfy for such a place on an island.

Everything was fine

My stay was amazing - great hosts, delicious food, super peaceful on the island. You can go paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, snorkelling - all from the house. Each house has a small gardenarea around it which is covered so it feels very private. There is also a pool ! You can't leave the place to go to any shops because the only way out is by boat, which feels very luxurious !

Absolutely amazing property, nice garden, restaurant, breathtaking seaviews from bungalows and sounds of jungles. Ralaxing atmosphere, great facillities overall - kayaks and supboards available for free, wonderful place for suntaking and swimming in cristall clear sea. Dishes offered by Clarissa very tasty! Service unbelievable! We stayed for four nights and enjoyed every minute there, we would stay even longer there. The transfer from Bocas del Toras can be arranged by Clarissa, she is in contact with guests before arrival. We highly recommend to visit Nathylodge!

Nothing, even a lot of moskitos couldn't spoil our time at Nathylodge. Be aware, moskitos are espaecially active at sunrise and sunset, at other part of the day is OK, we didn't use repellents. Only at nights in room, Clarissa can provide.

Beautiful place to stay. The nature is unique. Bungalows are clean, spacious with all you need. Comfortable bed and amazing view. Nice house reef. Tasty food.

Nathylodge is a unique find. We (family of four) stayed at Nathylodge for five nights to have a quiet time in nature. We could have not found a better place for us. It is unusual to find a place that is so truly genuine and personal. Clarisse and her extended family were perfectly attentive to anything we needed. The rooms were wonderful, and the food was excellent. We loved feeling re-connected to nature - to the sounds of the water and animals, the plants, and life in Bocas. At the same time, if we needed to be connected, the internet worked well. We enjoyed snorkeling, kayaking and paddleboarding in the bay, lazing in the swimming pool, having long meals, and watching the gorgeous sunsets in the evening and the sturgeon moon at night.

It was perfect for us. Travelers who want more hustle and bustle, to be near shops and businesses, expect all the modern comforts of life, or mind living in the forest, may want to consider a different place.
