Punta de domos

Luis is a wonderful host and he makes for the difference. The location is spectacular, and the tourists the Humboldt national park are fantastic

Very close to the ocean, you can hear the waves crushing the shore... amazing. Also it's a walking distance to the beach. Shower was unexpectedly good and bed were extremely comfy.

I liked everything... maybe that the domo doesn't have a kitchen where to cook.... there is a bbq are thou where you can cook.

Luis who runs the place speaks no English, but was a nice chap and even though our stay wasn't great, he was still trying his best with what he had and we apprecaited that.

The dome is not as nice as it looks in the pictures. It wasn't particularly clean or well appointed. But really aside from the dome, Punta de Domos is not a great location. It's a scruffy, messy, smelly, fishing village and not set up for visitors. When we stayed, we were the only ones, there were no boat trips going to see the Humbolt penguins (our whole reason for going) unless you wanted to pay for the whole boat (I was quoted 17 x ticket price) and the two restaurants we found that were open, one closed before dinner so there was only one and we were the only people in it.

Staff very friendly and helpful, dog included :) cabanas are beautifully located in front of the sea (most of them), basic but cozy. Weather was cold and we had a heater but in the summer it may get really hot! Breakfast basic (eggs, bread, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice, milk, cereal, butter and jam) but well cooked and enough. Restaurants very close.

Nothing wrong with the hotel, only the weather :)
