We had everything we needed for a wonderful snow trip. The apartment was spacious and clean, with its own well-equipped kitchen. The lodge has a communal drying room and gear storage space. Bus stops for the snow resorts are within walking distance. Echoland is a 10min walk away if you feel like exploring at night. Karen & Greg are lovely hosts. They were quick to respond and did whatever they could to ensure we had a smooth & pleasant stay. They even gave us a lift to the bus terminal the day we left. We had a memorable time - can’t thank them enough!

Karen and Greg are extremely welcoming, it is honestly like staying with family. Greg met us at the train station and was quick to show us around, make recommendations and show us the way to the lodge for check in at 3.00pm. We enjoyed spending our evenings in front of the fire with Greg and Karen chatting away. Jayden and Kia the housekeepers were extremely polite and helpful. The room was absolutely stunning. We even got to stay an extra night in an already busy time for the team as we loved it so much. We can not wait to go back, it was our favourite place in Japan.

Loved the incredibly friendly, helpful and caring hosts, Karen and Greg! Also loved the fabulous, quiet location, 5 mins from shops, restaurants and 100m from the free shuttle pick up point! Also a fabulous private bathroom with amazing shower. Great heating everywhere too. Super lovely and convenient!l place to stay!

The only part we found difficult was having such small space in the room we couldn’t all sit around a table and eat (but there’s plenty of space in the common room downstairs) and not having a ladder for the bunk in the loft so the top bunk was unusable.

The lodge was beautiful, the rooms were big, and the beds and beddings were very comfortable. We had the best sleep in there that we would sleep in! The kids (17 and 5) especially loved the loft feature and the communal living space. The drying room was amazing and absolutely essential during our snowy weekend. They have great partnerships with ski rental places that we only needed to leave our gear at their place and not have to return them to the rental stores. Super convenient. The huge private bathroom was detached, but it was just a few steps across the hall so it was not a problem for us at all. Breakfast was also amazing and well thought out. But Greg and Karen were the best part of the trip for us. They were very warm, kind, and extremely helpful making sure we made the most out of our short stay at Hakuba. We're beginner skiers, so we knew nothing about gear and getting lessons in Hakuba. So they booked everything for us, including rental, transfer, ski school, taxis, and even dinner reservations. We were absolutely spoiled. Best of all, we had the most lovely conversations with them by the fire place, and my children are especially fond of them. Our stay was way too short and we cannot wait to be back next winter.

We had an amazing experience staying here while in Hakuba Valley. The owners were full of hospitality, recommending the best places to eat and drink in town, and giving us best opinions on which mountains to ski at depending on the daily conditions. Staying here felt so cozy. The lodge is in a great location. About a 2min walk to the free resort shuttles and about a 10min walk to the town of Echoland. Definitely recommend if staying in the Hakuba valley.

Karen and Greg have an amazing B and B well located in Hakuba.. Our stay was short but the benefits of having the personal attention provided by Karen and Greg paid off .. the direction on where time was best spent was spot on.. we will be staying with them again on our next visit
