Tityra Lodge

Very nice stay in Monteverde, only a few minutes away from village by car. The property has made a nice 'hike' In its garden which is great for a morning or evening walk yo spot birds. They just installed a sauna with great view into the forest, amazing! Breakfast is good, nothing to special. Lady at reception very helpful to arrange tour. Midnight walk is a must do

Nothing really

The self contained cabins are well equipped with spectacular views of the landscape. The staff were super helpful with helping us arrange taxis as the site is too far from the town to walk. There is a brewery that does great food about 1km down the windy road but there is no path - we walked both ways in the daylight - we would not have wanted to walk in the dark. We were provided with coffee made onsite, along with tea and some sweets. The outdoor area was great to sit on an evening the sky turn dark or on a morning spotting and listening to the birds. The breakfast was great and set us up for a day of exploring, with a range of hot food, fruit, cereals and pastries.

We were only here for 2 nights and planned to get in the hot tub on the second evening (after our hike), however, the hot tub was drained and refilled in the late afternoon so it was not possible to get in as it was too cold which was a shame. It would have been good to have a shared kitchen area with basic facilities, as due to the remote location and no restaurant on site if felt like it only catered for guests who had a car.

Die Tityra Lodge ist mit Liebe zur Natur und Liebe zum Detail angelegt. Der Ausblick in die Kaffeeplantage ist sehr idyllisch, unsere Hütte war mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit und es wurde ein leckeres Frühstück mit eigenem Kaffee angeboten.

Las cabañas son preciosas y muy limpias. La nuestra muy cómoda para una familia de 4. Tienen un bonito paseo por la propiedad y un jacuzzi que no usamos. A las cabañas les doy un 10. Brenda nos recomendó y reservo: -El canopy en 100% aventura, que estuvo fenomenal, totalmente recomendable.En nuestro grupo solo éramos nosotros 4 y dos personas más. -El tour del café, chocolate y caña de azúcar con El Trapiche, también totalmente recomendable, estuvimos nosotros 4 solos. En ambos casos los grupos en inglés eran mucho más grandes. -Cena en el restaurante Sensoria. No lo recomiendo en absoluto, la peor de todo el viaje. Los diversos platos muy malos todos, no comimos ni la mitad, muy secos, como recalentados. Además intentaron que reservaramos con antelación unos menús especiales. No lo hicimos y cuando llegamos nos dijeron que para las reservas esos eran los menús, insistimos en que queríamos el menú tradicional, que eran los mismos platos pero los elegías tú, no tenías que coger un primero, segundo, postre y cóctel especial predeterminados que era lo que incluía el menú especial. Fue una pena porque celebramos el cumpleaños de nuestro hijo y nos esperábamos algo especial. Especial si fue, pero en el sentido malo.

El desayuno, por dicho motivo he bajado la puntuación. No está a la altura del lugar. Era un buffet de baja calidad. La comida caliente no sé podía comer, solo el yogur con las frutas y unas galletas también regular. Por opiniones anteriores, creo que anteriormente daban un desayuno a la carta muy bueno, y eso es lo que esperábamos. Fue el peor desayuno de todo el viaje. Tampoco es demasiado agradable el lugar del desayuno enfrentando el parking.
