If you are going directly to the Viking Lodge located around Pistolet Bay: On the Viking 430 road leading to St. Anthony or Corner Brook, take the branch leading to Cooks Harbor (Highway 435), and then take the next road to your right and you will see the Lodge. If you are having trouble finding Viking Lodge, go to the main office, Burnt Cape Cabins in Raleigh and they will show you the way.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. A deposit may be required at the property.

"No food in Releigh..."

The cabin was very comfortable and clean and warm.

I choose this remote location because I didn't want to be around a lot of people and liked that not much driving would be necessary. However upon arrival I learned that the highly anticipated "Burnt Cape Cafe" was closed and I would need to drive at least 25 to 35 minutes to find a restaurant or grocery store. Very disappointed!

Laundry facility. We were on holiday for sixteen days touring NL, so a bonus for having your clothes washed and hung outside clothes line. (Good energy saver, Skipped the clothes dryer.)

When booking (six months in advance,) the photos showed three individual cabins with water frontage. We got an adjoining cabin #1, facing the general store and restaurant. Quite a disappointment. This is not an issue, but laundry detergent was sold across the road at the general store in large jugs. Pretty pointless purchasing so much, when smaller packages would have been convenient for guest. Ended up just using body wash, it worked okay.

Lovely location and lovely cabin

The sofa needs to be refurbished it is very uncomfortable to sit on because it has no support.
