Crocodile Pools Resort

It’s very close to Gaborone & just off the tarred road. One didn’t have to drive on a gravel road. The facilities are very good & still in excellent condition. Very friendly staff & owner!

The location was wonderful, the view out over the river amazing. Incredible diversity of birdlife and crocodiles. Breakfast served on the deck overlooking everything was great. Same with all the other food we tried there, especially the beef tacos. I would definitely recommend the boat cruise, knowledgeable crew as well. My whole family had a wonderful time, and my youngest children didn't want to leave. All the staff were helpful and full of smiles, and our host, Mike, has written some interesting books about Croc Pools (I didn't know about the Battle of Croc Pools during the Boer War), Botswana and Diamonds. I have already decided to book there for the weekend of my birthday this year.

The spectacular view of the Notwane River and the distant hills from the Bushman restaurant terrace were so soothing and therapeutic. The rooms looked very clean and fresh. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower felt like you were bathing under a splashing waterfall.

Their service at the restaurant was very slow, they can do better. Their standard rooms are also very small, and the bathroom space is so restrictive.

Food was horrible, absolutely disgusting. I ordered meat platters and French fries and salad for 22 adults 250 pula per person and burgers and fries for 5 children at 125 pula per child, I was very specific with what I wanted and paid everything for brothers birthday party and they were given wrong orders completely, a plate of overcooked pasta, beetroot salad and coleslaw with pieces of dry meat, no burgers for children, I called the owner to correct my order he was not willing to listen to my complain and instead told me that my family were 2 hours late and he does not complain? I have asked him is it the reason he is giving them wrong orders he failed to answer and walked away which was rude. Winnie one of his employees was very helpful and tried her best to sort out the mess but was not listened to. A Very poor service I can say.

The place is beautiful and clean.Staff is friendly and owner Mike has a way of making one feel at home.

They can improve on the Breakfast by adding fruits.

The pictures and attractions displayed by the property in booking.com were not real. There were no animal parks, river was dry, no crocodile view, no river boat cruise. I was disappointed to know that only when I arrived at the property and I asked the reception about the activities we can do in the property and they said there are no activities available as the river is dry and there are no animals.
