Serenity Villas Rarotonga

Serenity Villas in Rarotonga exceeded expectations in every possible way. The location is outstanding, with easy access to some of the most beautiful beaches on the island, and the villa itself is stylish, spacious, and exceptionally well-appointed. What truly sets Serenity Villas apart is the remarkable attention to detail. From the moment you arrive, the villa feels like a home rather than a holiday rental. Every conceivable amenity has been thoughtfully provided and then some. The kitchen is equipped with high-quality, near-new appliances, including a Bosch dishwasher, electric frying pan, smoothie maker, coffee plungers, and a full range of utensils and storage containers. Everything is meticulously organised, even down to non-stick drawer liners. Practical touches such as reusable shopping bags are also provided, saving guests the need to purchase their own. The bed is exceptionally comfortable, the Bose soundbar provides excellent audio quality, and both bath and beach towels are soft, plush, and of high quality. The laundry and utility area is equally impressive. It is clean, well-organised, and generously stocked with thoughtful extras - sunscreen, reef shoes in various sizes, snorkelling gear, life jackets, books, and board games. A washing machine and laundry powder are also available for guest use, which adds a great deal of convenience for longer stays. The atmosphere throughout the property is by design quiet, and peaceful. For most of our stay, my husband and I felt as though we had the entire resort and even the beach completely to ourselves. One evening, we enjoyed a relaxed barbecue by the pool, which was a highlight. There is also a clear commitment to sustainability, with an emphasis on reuse and minimising waste which is well-executed. In fact Rarotonga is eco-conscious.

The only small surprise was that full payment was required prior to arrival which we didn't mind doing but it caught us off guard. This may have been outlined on Booking.com but something we overlooked.

Me and my wife spent few days in Rarotonga and Serenity exceeded our expectations. The place is so beautiful, built to give guests a great experience in one of the best spots of the island. We’ve had really good comms from Jo and upon arrival Rick was there for anything we needed and gave us the best tips. We highly recommend Serenity Villas

Lage und Host

Seclusion, privacy, security, on-beach, eco-sensitivity, swimming pool, well-appointed room. Not far from airport and main town, and proximate to many eateries.

Nothing major. Couldn’t cast to the TV and the pantry doors didn’t slide smoothly.

Rick and Jo have done a beautiful job with the villas and the gardens/beachfront. Everything you could need for a luxuriously self-sufficient stay on Raro. Great location for access to town, airport and watching whales and sunsets. Nice area to swim directly in front of the villas.

While there weren't 'many' mozzies and the mozzie net over the bed worked well... I would recommend installing flyscreens on the doors and windows, so that fresh air and the beautiful ocean noise can be enjoyed through the night. The mattress is also very soft (akin to a marshmallow 😅) so take that into account if you prefer a firm mattress.

No breakfast provided but not expected

Didn't like being asked to vacate the premises after checkout when we could see no harm in sitting by the pool or the beach reading a book for two hours while waiting for airport shuttle. Especially when the offer had been made to stay so no other arrangements were made.
