La Macadamia - Monteverde

This property offers a truly delightful experience, with its beautiful outdoor spaces providing a wonderful place to relax. The serene environment makes it an ideal location for a peaceful getaway. However, to enhance the enjoyment of these charming outdoor areas, a thorough pest control treatment for spiders and other insects would be beneficial. This would ensure that guests can fully appreciate the natural surroundings without any unwanted visitors. Addressing this aspect would undoubtedly elevate the already pleasant stay.

The unit is modern and spacious and had everything we needed. There was even a hot tub, which was an unexpected bonus. The property manager doesn't speak a word of English but we made do with Google translate. He was very nice and responsive. The property is on the outskirts of the town proper but still very close to all activities in Monteverde. Every room had AC and the kitchen was well stocked. Having access to a washer and dryer was very convenient.

The queen bed in the primary bedroom does not have the best mattress (we stayed in villa #3). The mattresses of the two double beds in the other bedrooms were much more comfortable. The property sits just outside of town and thus is closer to the wilderness of Monteverde. Which gets inside the unit, unfortunately. We had a LOT of bugs. A LOT. On one of the nights we had a scorpion crawl in!! We spoke to the property manager about it and he fumigated the unit which improved it for the rest of the stay. Just be prepared and do not leave any outdoor lights on at night and make sure to keep all windows and crevices closed. Bugs are expected in Costa Rica so we did not let this ruin our stay. Overall the property is still great value for money.

This was a wonderful place to stay in Monteverde. The facilities were clean, spacious, and modern, the location was beautiful, and Guillermo the owner was incredibly helpful. It is a perfect place for families. If you visit Monteverde, this is a gem!

Lovely house with all the amenities. Amazing shower. Easy to navigate to and from town. Staff was very helpful.

The mountain road getting there is quite bad. This in conjunction with fog and night made for quite a scary experience.

Un très joli endroit m, calme et avec un joli jardin, bien placé pour visiter Monteverde et bien sécurisé.

Porte d’entrée pas hermétique, invasion de petits mouches la nuit, attirés par la lumière sous la porte. Nous avons mis une serviette devant la porte.
