Villa Diletta Luxor

A simple yet incredibly cozy villa located in a very peaceful area. The villa consists of two floors with only two rental units in total and each has its own private entrance. The main gate locks with a key, providing a great sense of privacy and safety. I stayed in the ground-floor apartment, and it was very spacious. It features a large main living area, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a separate bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook. The bedroom is large, with a king-size bed, a wardrobe, and good A/C. The bathroom has a water heater, so hot water was never an issue. The garden has several sun loungers and a table, perfect for spending the evenings using insect coils. The Wi-Fi worked well with a stable connection throughout the property. The villa is located on the West Bank, which is essentially a peaceful village. It is very quiet, and the banana groves start just a short walk away. Right around the corner, there is a good cafe perfect for breakfast and a small grocery store with friendly staff. You can always stock up on water, cold drinks, and snacks there. It's about a 7-minute walk to the public ferry, but there are plenty of boatmen on the promenade ready to take you to the other side in just a few minutes. I always took these boats - it's a pleasant short ride on the Nile that is always refreshing and offers beautiful views. Of course, don't forget to haggle actively before getting in. The host, Mohamad, is very polite and explains everything clearly. You can book a taxi or any excursion through him, which is very convenient. Checkout is smooth and simple - you just leave the keys in the garden. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Of course, it's not a luxury hotel, and some amenities are basic, but staying in a place like this is a unique experience. It allows you to get a much better feel for the authentic, non-touristic atmosphere of real Luxor.

Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Besonders gefallen haben uns der nette Garten sowie die schöne, gemütliche Dachterrasse – perfekt zum Entspannen. Auch die Lage ist ideal, da sich mehrere gute Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe befinden. Hervorzuheben ist vor allem das Restaurant „Thebes“, das wirklich hervorragend ist und einen Besuch absolut wert ist. Man kommt leicht per Boot (ca. 150 EGP für 2) oder per Fähre (100 EGP für 2) auf die andere Nilseite.

Was uns weniger gefallen hat: Den vielen positiven Kommentaren über unseren Gastgeber können wir uns leider nicht ganz anschließen. Wir empfanden ihn teilweise als etwas aufdringlich. Letztlich haben wir über ihn eine zweitägige Tour mit Guide und Fahrer für 120 USD gebucht, was für ortsübliche Preise eher hoch ist. Die Touren selbst waren in Ordnung, aber nicht herausragend. Am unangenehmsten waren für uns jedoch die Bootsbesitzer am Ufer, die sehr aufdringlich und teilweise auch unhöflich auftraten. Leider hatten wir generell in und um Luxor oft das Gefühl, ständig bedrängt zu werden, etwas kaufen zu müssen. Das hat unser Wohlbefinden deutlich beeinträchtigt. Gastfreundschaft haben wir in diesen Situationen üerhaupt nicht gespürt – vielmehr entstand der Eindruck, dass man vor allem als wandelnder Geldbeutel wahrgenommen wird. Natürlich ist es für uns in Ordnung, als Besucher etwas mehr zu bezahlen, aber wenn es zu aufdringlich wird, überschreitet das irgendwann eine Grenze und ist nur noch unverschämt. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind großartig, keine Frage. Aber ein 2. Mal werden wir definitiv nicht kommen.

Très bon emplacement, le lieu est beau, logement spacieux. Le propriétaire est très sympathique, donne des conseils et aide pour le séjour.

Villa Diletta is located in a peaceful location, yet still close to restaurants, public ferry to the other side of Nile, shops etc. The room we rented had a lovely terrace. Host was very polite. Overall, the price-performance rate was great and we enjoyed our stay a lot.

The only minor detail we would suggest improving is the lights in the room, now it was a bit dark.

従業員のモハメドさんが、すごく頼りになります。合計5つのツアーの手配を頼みましたが、私たちの要望をかなえたうえで、どれも手頃な料金で、ガイドさんもドライバーさんもとてもいい人ばかりでした。うち2つはチェックアウト後、予定していたツアーがキャンセルされたために急遽お願いしましたが、迅速に対応してくださいました。ツアー中も快適に過ごせているか、Whatsappで連絡を取って気を配ってくれ、旅行者の旅が楽しいものになることを第一に考えてくれる方です。 建物は新しくはないですが、写真通りかわいいヴィラで清潔です。シャワーのお湯が2人続けて使っても問題なく出るのもありがたかったです。洗濯機もあり、無料で使えます。ホテルで洗濯を頼めば普通は一着ごとに料金を取られるのですから、これだけの設備がついてこの宿泊料は本当にお得です。 周囲は静かで落ち着けますし、川岸には徒歩1分、夜遅くまで開いている商店やカフェも近くになります。近くの濱田商店の店主さんもとても優しいです。 ぜひおすすめします。

鍵の開閉に少しコツがいります。でもそれ以外に問題点が見つかりません。総じて素晴らしい宿泊施設です。

The host MOhammad was very trustworthy and very accomodating. He also booked a Kom ombo and EdFu tour with us with an amazing tour guide named Ahmed and I forgot the driver's name. Amazing people and very accomodating. The house was huge and felt like home. Appliances may be basic but it got everything we need. Location was also great as it was close to all the restaurants and the boat ride to Luxor temple.
