"If remote and rustic is what you want, this is the place for you."

Leaving it

Very far off the main road. Steep to get to. Remote. The cabin puts the R in rustic. The doors and windows had large gaps in them and the wind blew through all night. Also let in bugs. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. Didn’t feel very clean. And the price was a lot for how rustic and remote it was.

"Highly recommend these rustic cabins!"

Cute, well appointed, brand new cabins as of 2022. Remote, but well stocked with electric hot plate and pot, coffee and coffee maker, and mini fridge. And a nice little pool! Definitely don't recommend driving through Hojancha unless you're up for a fairly bumpy/off-road experience. Instead, go through Santa Rita - same amount of time from Nicoya, but way smoother!

Somewhat remote, but this probably makes it more affordable! Also note that there is a pretty strong new paint smell, but I'm sure it will go away very soon.
