"We loved our stay at Coconuts - the property really did feel like a home from home."

We stayed at Coconuts for 8 nights and hired a car (arranged through the property in advance of our stay) so we could travel around and see the real Mauritius for ourselves. The property is situated directly on a gorgeous beach within a 20 minute walk of the centre of Grand Baie which suited us down to the ground as we'd prefer to stay somewhere quiet. There are plenty of great restaurants, cafes and shops within 20-30 mins walk and most days, after returning from our travels in the car, we had had the beach area to ourselves. The property is clean, well equipped and comfortable and Bernard and Stephanie made us feel really welcome.

We really didn't have any complaints although we appreciate everyone is different and therefore some may find the location a little too far from the centre of Grand Baie. There isn't a proper pavement all the way along the road however we bought a small torch for our evening walk to/from Grand Baie and never once felt unsafe. The property is set in super pretty gardens so please remember to apply mosquito repellent if you're outside from dusk!

"A piece of heaven in Grand Baie"

The flat was clean, spacious and located a few steps away from a lovely beach. Wonderful terrace with view on the garden/beach, ideal to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature surrounding the property. The hosts were very welcoming and kind.

"Exceptional"

Excellent location, beautiful private beach, garden, nice and exceptionally large apartment (2 bathrooms). Patio with seaview. Kitchen well equiped, maid coming in 6 days a week. 2 single kayaks at disposal.

There was definitelly nothing to complain about in Coconuts. The road behind the house did not bother us at all (there is a high wall) Just the weather in Mauritius in July was much colder, rainier and windier then expected (20-23 degrees and 10m/s) and it got dark fairly early (18:30). But this was definitelly the best location on the island considering the weather.
