The villa was clean and in a quiet area.

It just felt a little soulless. Sometimes with holiday villas you really feel like you are staying at someones home and others they feel a bit bleak and empty. Sadly this one is the latter. There were very little soft furnishings, an old fashioned TV with no way of connecting to Netflix etc (we had lots of rain for our week and with children the odd movie would have been helpful!) There was 1 dishwasher tablet, small and crunchy towels and no basic cooking essentials like oil or even salt. We ended up having to buy everything. The area is quiet but you can't really walk anywhere and we ended up spending a lot of time in the car. I think the following additions could make a lot of difference, some rugs, cushions, throws on the sofa, logs for the fire, new more comfortable sofas. Lamps, the kitchen is very dark. A smart TV and speakers for music, some inflatables for the pool. It's also worth updating the game box as half the pieces are missing. A lovely large wooden chess board or backgammon could be added? I appreciate these things need extra time for cleaning but make a lot of difference for guests and don't cost much. We got the villa at a discounted price fairly last minute and so it was ok but to be honest if we had paid full price would have been very disappointed. Sorry!
