Serenity by the Lake - Romantic Waterfront Couple's Getaway

We wanted to go on a mini holiday for my husbands 40th, and this place did not disappoint. It has everything you want. The view, the room... everything was amazing. If you want a place where you can unwind and not have to leave, this is the place for you. It is so peaceful and private, you don't need to go anywhere. There are kayaks and paddle boards, wood for the fire pit.. food in the pantry, breakfast is supplied.. This room honestly has everything. The host is very easy to communicate with and is very accommodating. I highly recommend.

If you are not confident with stairs, then you may want to hire a boat for your stay. There are around 50 odd steep stairs down to the property, and if you are unfit like my hubby and I, then you may struggle a little. When we wanted to leave to go into town, I would be very puffed by the time I got back up the top, and my husband ended up with very sore legs! Lol.. but the room and view make it all worth it.

Location was perfect, on the waterfront with private jetty. Catering was amazing, way more than just breakfast!

It was such a quiet, peaceful and amazing place to stay to relax and enjoy the company of your loved ones!😊 We enjoyed so much the lake. The sunset was even more beautiful with the fire pit.

Leah, the host was so accommodating and welcoming, the food she provided was on point as was the champagne, even down to providing wood and fire lighters for the fire pit .

The property has the most gorgeous view, amazing attention to detail with lovely fixtures and fitting and the provisions for the stay are excellent. You could go with no food and survive, it’s beautifully done. The jetty is great if you have a boat or like a fish. The ducky visits each morning were so cute and the sunsets are amazing, loved it.

Just be aware that there is 50 stairs down to the property. They are well made, sturdy and with railings but it’s the only way to the property. Taking my belongings down was a small challenge. I called it stairway to heaven :)

Serenity by the lake is a perfect getaway for couple wishing to have a nice relaxing holiday away from it all. Located on the shores of Lake Macquarie at Marks Point, it offers great views over the lake whilst relaxing on the lounge. The cabin is very spacious, clean and well stocked with breakfast, coffee pods, complimentary champagne, fruits and assorted cheese platter with condiments. In the evening enjoy a peaceful cuppa by the lake and to quote from 'The Castle' Ah the serenity. For those energetic enough, there's the choice of SUP or canoeing. (We skipped those and preferred to relax doing absolutely nothing). There are also a good choice of cafe, restaurants and clubs close by for those who prefer to dine out.
