Beautiful location, friendly staff, friendly owner

The room is quite spacious. It's the biggest room we've stayed in the whole Sri Lanka trip. The staff were very friendly. They helped us to prepare the other morning's breakfast package for the Safari tour. We left for the Safari at 5:30a, our breakfast had been there ready. It's at the end of a small village road, and there's a pond in front of the hotel. It's quiet.

It'd be more pleasant if we were not pushed by the staff for leaving comments for their hotel. If we feel somewhere is worth a good comment, we will do so at our own pace.

There were 4 friendly dogs on the property and we adored them. The lake in front of the property was beautiful. We chose this property because it was in a remote area and far from town.

We booked a family room with lake view but was given a room at the back of the property with no view at all. The manager on site called the owner (who was away) and she said I could see the lake if I walked to the lobby! She then insisted that a local family who had already checked into the only family room with lake view to MOVE OUT!. Of course I refused! She then extended a discount which she later retracted, insisting that I had misunderstood my booking. There were missing amenities in the room and when I highlighted it to the owner, she insisted I was looking at the wrong Booking.com page. Talk about blatant denial. The air-con in the room made a thumping sound which disrupted our sleep. I booked a safari with the owner weeks in advance but there were miscommunication between the owner and manager on site. The first thing we arrived, he asked if we were booked on any safari! The manager also asked us to wake up at 5am for the safari but tea/coffee was only served at 530am. And the takeaway breakfast was only ready at 545am. We could have slept for another 30 mins. The swimming pool needed to be cleaned.

Wonderful guesthouse with a relaxing atmosphere, a beautiful pool, delicious meals, and stunning lake views. Dennis is amazing – dedicated, energetic, and always kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

Not close to the city center, but if you're looking for peace, nature, and a lake, this is definitely the place.

Place was extraordinary and special thanks to denis the staff here for preparing the food which was good. And a suggestion it would be better to a arrange a vehicle for the location area

Quiet, clean place, with beautiful view on the lake. Tucans are resting on nearby trees. Lovely, friendly hosts, who will arrange you a tasty breakfast for safari, as well as everything you would require :)

Advantage and disadvantage is large distance from amenities such as shops etc. Have your snacks prepared and it would be perfect!

Very nice comfortable house rooms, pleasant view, beutifull birds around singing. Peacefull place with very kind and helpfull people take care of you. Lots of animals around, monkeys jumping on the trees ( but not disturbing) peacocks running, squirrels etc The food is very good - u have to try breakfast and dinner. Hightly recommend
