"Rustic charm but never felt very welcoming."

Loved the situation by the Barbate Marshes. It was nice but could have been better on most counts. I found the bed with a plastic undersheet a bit uncomfortable. Was waiting for a hour to get in on arrival and had to make an international call to tell them we were there.

"A very pleasant delight, with a lovely host"

The location was very close to Barbate and a short drive to Zahara de Los Atunes. A wonderful raw beach is just across the road. The location of the Villa is right by a main road bordered by a Natural Park at the end of the garden, with Flamingoes coming so close at times you could almost touch them. We could not hear any road noise, the Villa is an amazingly tranquil place to stay.

Expect to drive or cycle to the local towns. It's a 7k walk to Zahara along the beach shared by wonderful cows enjoying the rays. Barbate is reachable but by road, probably 2K and not sure I would advise that walk. Nothing else to dislike.
