Villa Ysara, Pool Villa with lake Lucerne View

Situation exceptionnelle au-dessus du Lac des Quatre-Cantons, vu superbe sur le lac, le village, toute la région du Bürgenstock et les montagnes autour. La piscine intérieure, et aussi fitness et sauna (même si je ne les ai pas utilisé).

Le séjour eut pu durer plus longtemps - cependant ça ce n'est pas la faute de l'établissement, mais la mienne. J'y reviendrai avec grand plaisir.

Wir wurden von unserer Gastgeberin herzlich begrüßt. Es wurde uns die Anlage ausführlich gezeigt und alle Zugangsmöglichkeiten erklärt. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Besonders war das große Indoor Pool und die Möglichkeit zwanglos im Zimmer das Frühstück zuzubereiten. Ein Highlight war der sensationelle Ausblick auf den Vierwaldstätter See mit den Bergen im Hintergrund. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Auszeit und haben traumhaft geschlafen. Danke nochmal an unsere freundliche Gastgeberin die uns viele wertvolle Tip`s über Luzern gab. Wir werden wiederkommen

The hosts, Anita and Marlon, are the absolute best! They live in the home next door to the rental unit, which they also own. They were very, very hospitable during our stay and it was comforting knowing they were nearby if we needed anything. They picked up my husband and myself at the Lucerne train station upon our arrival, to make sure we made it to our room with no trouble. They even had dinner waiting on us when we got to the unit, which was at midnight! (Sorry Anita). And to top it off, they upgraded our room from dbl twin to a king suite at no charge. The following morning they brought us downtown to pick up our rental car, which we previously reserved during our stay. There was ample parking area for guests. Communication was always prompt and courteous. Anita checked in via text on a regular basis to make sure everything was fine with our stay or to offer recommendations. The location of the apt. was great and only 15 minutes from downtown Lucerne. Since we had a rental car, the drive back and forth to the downtown area and surrounding attractions was no problem. The unit was in a nice neighborhood on a hillside and had great views of Lake Lucerne. We took evening walks from the unit up the scenic, hillside road and were able to get fantastic, unobtrusive views of the lake. The apt. unit was beautiful! It is three stories - the top floor is an executive suite with 3 bedrooms and fantastic kitchen/living room/dining room/laundry facility/outdoor living, etc. This is where you want to be, especially if you have a group! The second floor has three individual bedroom rentals that share a small hallway, which is what we had rented. Fortunately, during our stay there were no other guests so we had a lot of privacy. The first floor has a large heated pool/sauna/gym area/shower/small covered patio accessible to all guests. There is an elevator that services all floors, which is a big plus.

There is no A/C in any of the units. Our stay here was July 4-8 and the temps were unseasonally hot. The hostess provided a portable oscillating fan, which was helpful, but not quite enough. Also, there is no bathtub in any of the units, only a small shower. This was not a big deal for us but if we were travelling with small children, it would have been. In addition, although there are accurate photos of each of the units available for rent in the listing, the photos were not labeled so a bit confusing to me. When I booked the unit, I was unsure about what amenities were actually included with our rental and thought that the photo of the executive suite was actually a common reception area/community lobby/indoor lounging area for all guests to share. Wishful thinking I guess. It would be more helpful if all photos were labeled in the listing, so guests can better understand what they are booking. Our trip was still amazing and the hosts were extremely accommodating during our stay.

A real insider tip for anyone looking for peace, comfort and breathtaking views! Villa Ysara is the perfect retreat to escape the stress of everyday life. As soon as you enter, you feel right at home, because the atmosphere is incredibly warm and inviting. We enjoyed the view which is simply fantastic – you look directly out onto the lake and the surrounding mountains. It's a sight that you have to enjoy, especially at sunrise or sunset. The cleanliness of the villa leaves nothing to be desired. Everything is well maintained and tidy, which provides additional comfort. The host is incredibly helpful and is always on hand with advice and assistance, so that you feel completely at ease. Another thing that deserves special mention is the peace and quiet. It is the perfect place to relax, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In addition, the public transport connections are excellent: with free public transport that goes directly to the villa, you can get around the area quickly and easily. And the idyllic village by the lake is simply enchanting, with charming little shops and first-class restaurants. If you feel like exploring the surrounding area, you can easily reach the old town of Lucerne by train or boat – a great way to discover this beautiful city. All in all, we enjoyed our time at Villa Ysaraand it was an absolute dream! A place to relax, enjoy and experience nature to the fullest. Simply superb and we will come back forsure!

Diese Villa ist einfach ein Juwel. Unser Apartment war sehr stilvoll eingerichtet und bot alles, was man sich für einen entspannten und luxuriösen Aufenthalt wünschen kann. Die Lage ist wirklich atemberaubend: Ein unverbaubarer Blick auf den See und die umliegende Bergwelt - das sorgt für pure Erholung und ein Gefühl der Geborgenheit. Die Ruhe abseits des städtischen Trubels ist einfach herrlich, und dennoch ist man mit dem Auto in kurzer Zeit in der Stadt. Die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel kann man auch benutzen (Dorfbus bzw Bahn in der Nähe), wir sind jedoch mit unserem Auto gefahren. Ein weiteres Highlight war der herzliche Empfang durch die Gastgeber, die uns mit wertvollen Tipps für Ausflüge und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung versorgten. Ihre Gastfreundschaft und die persönliche Beratung haben unseren Aufenthalt noch zusätzlich bereichert. Besonders erwähnenswert ist die makellose Sauberkeit und die durchdachte Ausstattung - unser Apartement hatte sogar eine kleinen Kitchenette :) Der Wellnessbereich mit Indoorpool, Sauna und Fitnessbereich hat uns sehr gefallen - nächstes Mal bleiben wir länger um das alles zu genießen! Kurzum: Unser Aufenthalt war rundum perfekt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können diese Villa nur wärmstens empfehlen. Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf unseren nächsten Besuch!

The only thing that I liked was the fact that the owner was sweet. Nothing about the property stood out. I would never recommend anyone to stay there. It’s so far from the city of Lucerne. It’s so far from the hergiswil train station and so far from the waterfront.

We booked a studio apartment for our stay. The room was extremely small. The pictures were very misleading. There is absolutely no space in the room to put your luggage in. There is no air conditioning in the room. They have provided a fan which does not suffice for the hot weather. When I spoke to the owner of the property she kept mentioning that the train station is 5 min walk away, the lake is 5 min walk away. Everything was so far from the property. There’s absolutely nothing around to eat or drink. You have to walk atleast 30 mins to find anything to eat or drink. There is no taxi/uber service in the area. There is no supermarket nearby. We ended up checking out right after seeing the room. We also requested the owner to atleast do a partial refund since the space is not being utilised at all. The owner didn’t even care to do a partial refund after giving such misleading details about the property. Very disappointing.

Hosts were very helpful

The properly is beautiful! Amenities beyond amenities! We were surprised around every corner, the villa had everything you could want or need. Every room in the villa is equipped and stocked with anything you may need for your stay! The location is great, and incredibly convenient for us using public transportation as we did not rent a car. And the views are incredible!!! We were a family of 3 generations traveling together, and the villa more an accommodated our large group. On top of that, everyone enjoyed the stay! From the kids enjoying the pool or playing on the patio with the ping pong table, to the adults and grandparents taking in the views with morning lattes, relaxing on the decks or the sauna, or cooking in the kitchen. The entire property was incredibly clean and well taken-care of, and the service was top-notch! The best part about this property, I must say, is the host!! She is truly the kindest and most wonderful host, and make our stay truly remarkable!!!
