Villa Bahia calpe

Property was on a quiet road and had a lovely pool area; 5 mins to Calpe downtown by car (30 min walk)

Spacious ,ideal for family group. Off-road parking. Good size swimming pool. Privacy.

Swimming pool not easily accessible for elderly people, no handrail for getting down the steps. Area around shower needs safety wall building to avoid accidents. Shabby poolside furniture. Infested with Cockroaches in kitchen drawers,bedrooms, bathrooms (we had to purchase traps to try to get rid of them).

The villa was great especially for the cost, the staff were very accommodating even though we showed up too early, the pool was great, a few things to note if you are planning to stay: there is both a charcoal and gas BBQ but whichever you choose to use you need to (to my knowledge) buy fuel for it, the pool lights are inoperable at time of writing but the exterior lights mean you are able to see at night, the property provides matches for the BBQ in one of the kitchen drawers and also has things like a toaster etc., the last step in the pool curves down to the floor which caused a few of us to trip on our way out but it's fine once you know that it's there, the shops we went to are about 20 minutes walk away but we would recommend getting a taxi from the nearby park as they are cheap and a lot nicer then walking, there is a nice restaurant we went to twice about 7 minutes walk away that was very good, and the hammock seems to not hold you in the air much (those of us that tried it had at minimum our buts hitting the wood of the hammock legs) but that's all.

There were a few things in the house that seemed close to breaking but nothing that couldn't be worked around or used as normal, a few lights didn't work but they were all outside so not needed a majority of the time, there were a few cockroachs but they seem to be a problem in the area so it's not the houses fault

The host was amazing and the property and location was also brilliant. Close to town, the beach and local transport was within reach.
