Villa El Capricho

The pictures don’t do justice to how incredible this villa is. Great facilities and incredible views. Rooms are lovely and spacious. The host was extremely kind and helpful -great communication.

Nothing bad to say!

We went away 2 families. 5 adults and 4 children. The pool was amazing, really deep and huge, the villa was big enough for all of us to sleep and seating/dining sittting was large enough for all of us to enjoy eating around. The decor was pleasant, and the garden and views were out of the world. There were 2 bedrooms on the ground floor with a large bathroom. And 3 bedrooms upstairs with another 2 large bathrooms. The living room was upstairs, where you could step out on a balcony with amazing views that stretched across to the sea. The kitchen had all utensils, and there was a cupboard with games in which the children enjoyed. The rooms were clean and fresh , and fresh towels were provided and changed mid stay if you wanted. There was a coal BBQ and gas BBQ where we enjoyed cooking outside on an evening. There was an aircon which worked lovely except one twin bedroom downstairs, which was not too much of an issue as we used a large fan that was provided by the villa. You can get an Uber into mijas or walk. it's around 20 mins up a very steep hill, which we did a few times. Mijas is beautiful with many shops and places to eat and drink, horse rides, and donky rides. It's one of the most beautiful towns iv ever seen.

We enjoyed our stay. The only issue was! The bins are far away, I would say a good ten mins up a steep inclined hill. A family of 9 will use a lot of rubbish and surprisingly piles up with wine beer bottles and water bottles, leftover food, etc. We had to keep walking up a hill carrying rubbish, where it was not enjoyable and needed to flake out after. I want to go on holiday to relax and not have to take rubbish to bins that were so far every other day. However, if you rent a car, then this would not be an issue.

A stunning villa inside and out. Photos really do not do this place any justice! Very clean and well maintained. All rooms are a really decent size and the outside pool is a massive too. We had a fantastic stay. Steph is wonderful, always responds quickly with any help or questions.

The villa is lovely, lots of Spanish character and full of antiques. It could do with a little tlc in places and bathrooms/kitchen could do with modernising, but no serious defects. It is also incredibly well equipped for a stay. The help from Steph was excellent, always responding promptly to queries. The pool looked fairly new or newly renovated and was great for actual swimming and doing lengths. My grown up family thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The pool is much bigger than most villa pools and is what i would call a proper swimming pool, rather than one for dipping in. Views are amazing as well.

Not much really, the sun beds could do with replacing.

Beautiful house for a holiday in Mijas. Exceptional garden. Large deep pool. Spacious rooms. We didn't need to hire a car and used taxis/uber to the village and beyond..it is walkable in about 15 mins, but very steep uphill in places. Lovely terrace for the views and watching Eagles soaring Great communication from the owner Grass around the pool saves burning feet on tiles. Air con was a blessing..even for June Fab shaded area with more than ample seating for a large group Pool toys for the kids to enjoy Plenty of space to escape for some alone time Bedrooms well separated for more privacy We thoroughly enjoyed the villa and would definitely book again 😊

More parasols would have been good in the garden area No information book with restaurant recommendations..taxi numbers..days out etc Sunloungers would be good with some cushions..having said that..can understand why they wouldn't be provided due to maybe not drying out then getting grubby!? Plastic glasses and crockery for outside use

The location, the view, the peace. One of the best houses I have rented . `I will be back.
