Villa Webb

The location was excellent, and it was in a quiet location. When we had a problem the response was very quick.

After our problem was resolved, we were left to clean up, which I don't expect to do on holiday.

In Summary this was a nice villa with a good pool and patio area. Located in a quiet area but only 5 to 7 minutes walk to the beach and bars and restaurants and also a 2 minute walk to the nearest supermarket.

While we were there the property suffered a burst pipe in the upstairs bathroom while we were in bed sleeping and flooded the upstairs causing water to flood down the staircase also into the lounge area. There was water everywhere and it only stopped after about 45 minutes when the power tripped. I tried a number of times to reach the owners agent however they did not answer any calls or messages until the following morning. As a result we had to mop up as best we could and go back to bed with no power available. The following day a plumber came and carried out a repair that allowed the use of the downstairs bathroom but could not repair the upstairs bathroom until the following day which required drilling and removing part of the upstairs bathroom floor. While the burst pipe could have occurred at anytime and was just unfortunate, our holiday was still disrupted for a couple of days and as such we feel compensation is due. This was discussed with the Owner Jose at the Villa and also with the Owners agent Diego who actually advised that he had spoken with the Owner and confirmed they would be discussing compensation with Booking.com. since returning I have followed this up with Diego who has not responded which is disappointing. Also, after the second repair, there was a lot of dust and mess that we had to clean ourselves as the promised cleaner did not turn up as promised. Based in the above we are seeking compensation of 50% of the price of the Villa and await confirmation from the owner and or booking.com

I thought the pool should have been cleaned at some stage throughout the 10 days.
