Villa Altos de Santiago

Good size villa, which was very comfortable and well equipped. The walk into the local town was along a well lit footpath - although it was a steep walk back up it was very manageable and it does mean fantastic views from the villa. The staff in the weeks before the visit were exceptionally helpful in answering the questions I had.

Fantastic location, facilities and views.

La casa es espectacular. Tiene unas vistas maravillosas. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas y amplias. El salón de lo más acogedor. La comunicación con la empresa que lo gestiona ha sido de 10. Patricia siempre muy amable y ayudando en todo lo posible.

Las instalaciones y las vistas

Los colchones de las camas necesitan un cambio. El anfitrión, Macaronesian Rent, contactamos con él el primer día y al tercero tuvimos un problema con la luz y no supimos más de ellos, nos dejaron tirados. Gracias a Alberto, el señor que mantiene la piscina, al que vimos de casualidad y le comentamos el problema y fue quien lo solucionó, pero la empresa que se lleva el dinero no contestó ni a la llamada ni al mensaje. Como sugerencia deberían quitar el árbol que está pegado a la piscina ya que hace que esté siempre sucia.

Great comfortable villa. Full of interesting things. Lots of spaces for people to lounge or play. Good pool. Pool and table tennis. Fantastic location for peace and views. Easy access to path down to the village (steep coming back up!) Agent easy to contact and very responsive.

We enjoy cooking but very disappointingly the oven didn’t work - apparently because the pool heating overloaded the electricity system. And it wasn’t easy to cater for 8 people in a small kitchen. The BBQ is a big stone oven - too complex to use for a quick barbie. For the infirm or those with small children - there are lots of stone steps.

This place is amazing. Go! The agency managing and the maintenance guy were absolutely superb - sorted out all our (self-created) issues.

Don't eat in Don Tomate in town. Worst waiters in the world (and I lived in Prague in the early 90s). Tasquita Ifis and La Cuevita are much, much better.
