Marvelous holiday home - villa La Caleta

Having previously stayed in La Caleta I knew the location was excellent. The house is spacious and mostly well equipped. The master bedroom has a private bathroom but the two downstairs bedrooms, plus the upstairs one, share a second not very large bathroom. If we had used all the bathrooms this might have been a minus, but it wasn't an issue in our case. The pool area is really nice, and being able to sit outside for a meal in the dining area was also very nice. We felt very safe in the house and it was really well cleaned. There is a small SPAR supermarket very close by, and loads of good restaurant. Playa de la Enramada is within walking distance and one of our favorite ones. Nice loungers, good quality of food and drinks (which you can order right to your lounger) and paragliders landing on the beach, for extra entertainment. Not a kid friendly beach (black sand/pebbles and rocky) but for adults without kids, that works out well. All in all we had a very nice stay and would not hesitate to stay there again.

I would remove dead plants in flowerpots, and broken flowerpots (both by the pool area as well as on the upstairs patio). More furniture, not least sun loungers, on the upstairs patio would have been nice. Due to lack of furniture there we didn't use it much. I would have liked to been able to open a window in the bedroom at night (only a big door to the outside), as there is no air conditioning and the air quality in a closed room over a night gets more poorly. Otherwise the lack of AC didn't bother us, the outside temp was under 25 (lower at night) and the house felt cool and nice. One minor but surprising thing was the fact that only one diswasher tablet is provided per stay. Not leaving a full box is fine but it seems strange, especially since the house is well equipped in general, to not leave a few. Making each guest buy a full box which then gets left there, but locking it up and only providing the next guest with one tablet, seems cheap. There is a TV but most station are in German. Didn't bother us as we weren't there to watch TV, but might bother some. The internet connection is not good in the house, owners might want to look into that issue to attract people who want to be able to work remotely. Finally, despite having sent our flight details and notified of our departure from the Tenerife airport, we had to stand in the sun for 40 minutes before Oksana arrived with the keys. Granted, there seemed to have been an accident on the highway which slowed her down, but she could have communicated better and e.g. recommended us to sit down for a drink at a restaurant on the other side of the road (which we would have done had we known the wait would be this long). It was also our belief that we had to meet her up on departure to give her the keys back. We let her know when we were ready but did not get a reply for around 20 min (and no one showed up).

Everything was perfect! The property is clean and have everything you need for a great holiday!

Broken shower, broken cabinet, broken bedside table and door to patio was impossible to unlock so did not go out there. No soap or trash bags provided
