Villa Sylvia

Position just on the sea is great. We loved sunrise in the morning. Support from Mariella, the property manager, have been exceptional for any need. It is our second stay here, and we saw several improvement in the house’s equipment (like sunbeds and ombrella), great!

Maybe some better equipment in the kitchen in case customers would like to cook.

The location is superb, being right on the water front with direct access to the sea.

Quite a few things were disappointing. Whilst the location is worth spending extra on, it was uncomfortable for two couples in their 60s and 70s. The bedrooms were a big problem. One was reasonable size, but the second is too small for the fourposter bed. We had to squeeze between the wall and the bed to get in and out; and the mattress was so hard we put the sofa cushions on top to make it soft enough to get a night's sleep. It was awkward to have only one toilet in the house - especially as paper cannot be flushed. The shower room and second toilet are across the outer courtyard, which is not a problem in the daytime of course because it is rarely cold or raining - but the shower curtain was inadequate and stuck to our bodies. A better shower cubicle would have made all the difference. We didn't cook or eat at the villa because the kitchen facilities were pretty basic (a camping gaz stove was the only hob)...but we did enjoy the nearby restaurants; and the local shop provided everything we needed. Another disappointment was - no welcome pack!! At a previous villa in Lindos, at the same price per night, we were given a spectacular welcome pack of water, milk, fruit, bread, cheese, ham, coffee and tea. Here - just a bottle of wine. Finally - there were only 3 sunbeds and 3 chairs on the terrace for a house that sleeps 4.

A beautiful property with great attention to detail in the interiors. The ability to step into the sea from the terrace was an added bonus. The host was excellent and always quick to answer any queries.
