CASA FELICIA-The Castle Mansion

Εξαιρετικό αρχοντικό, πεντακάθαρο και μέσα στην καρδιά της Μονεμβασιας! Θα το ξαναπροτιμήσουμε σίγουρα!

The place was clean and comfortable. Coffee and coffee maker were both great. A/C was very efficient. Beds were very comfortable. Upstairs terrace was amazing and we used it in the morning for coffee and evening for wine. Two refrigerators and wine cooler were very nice. Two dining room tables and chairs were great. Staff answered all our questions promptly and we're helpful getting porters to assist with our luggage.

No adequate hot water. We were instructed to flip on the 2 breakers for the water heaters at least 20 minutes before taking a shower or bath. The result is warm water for about 5 minutes, then it can best be described as tepid. It wasn't freezing cold but it wasn't warm either, just room temp. There was no curtain around the jacuzzi on the main floor so it was impossible to take a proper shower. One could not take a bath either because the tub would not stop the water from going down the drain. It was just as well, because the water did not stay warm for long anyway. As a result, we only took one shower in 3 days, and it was more of a sponge bath than a shower. Other than the hot water, another problem was with the internet, which was spotty and kept going in and out. We had to leave our phones on roaming in order to keep our signal. Finally, the exit light in both bedrooms was way to bright. You might as well leave the overhead light on. This was our fourth different hotel in the Peloponese and the others do not have ones so bright so I think that is something that should be changed.

Es un alojamiento peculiar, muy bonito, puesto con muchísimo gusto. La distribución es algo “dejémoslo en especial”, no es lo mismo dormir en la habitación de arriba, luminosa y con terraza que en las de abajo que son más oscuras. Con todo, es una experiencia preciosa la de quedarte dentro del castillo, y es de agradecer el trabajo que tuvo que suponer la reforma de estas casas y ahora tener el privilegio de usarlas. Muchas gracias.

Por decir algo, las escaleras interiores para bajar a la parte de abajo, donde están un baño y la cocina, no son aptas para cualquiera. Deberían avisarlo, te puedes partir la crisma, si te despistas.

Ενα luxury έργο τέχνης στο Κάστρο! ‐---------------------------------- Το αρχοντικο ειναι ενα διακοσμητικό κομψοτέχνημα Καθε γωνια απο τα επιπλα υψηλης αισθητικης μεχρι τις σπάνιες αντικες, ειναι προσεγμενη στη παραμικρή λεπτομερεια παντρευοντας την ιστορια με την premium πολυτελεια! Η τοποθεσια του ειναι ανικητη -μολις 60 μετρα απο τη Κεντρικη Πυλη. Η θεα απο τη βεραντα απλα κοβει την ανασα. Σίγουρα θα ελθουμε ξανα!

Great location near to the main castle gate so the walk with the luggage was not too far. Pack lightly though. It has great character, charm and history.

The bedrooms are not private. The stairs to the kitchen are unsuitable for people with mobility issues. Many opportunities for even moderate height people to bang their heads, especially the downstairs bathroom. Washing machine was not ready to operate. For my taste the decor was cluttered which detracted from the historical interior. Overall a bit disappointing.

La decoración del alojamiento recoge mucho polvo Las instrucciones para el uso de la vivienda no están claras, por ejemplo no supimos como obtener agua caliente.

Συγκινητική η στιγμή που πέρασα το κατώφλι του υπέροχου αρχοντικού της συγγραφέως Αγγελικης Βαρελά, καθώς η διακόσμηση παντού παραπέμπει σε άλλη εποχή, χωρίς ομως να στερείται των ανέσεων που έχει καποιος αναγκη στο σημερα.

Αν κατι θα μπορούσε να ειπωθεί χωρίς ομως να μειώνει στο οτιδήποτε την υπέροχη διαμονή, θα ήταν το γεγονός οτι το τζακούζι του καταλύματος ήταν εκτός λειτουργίας

She met us to hand over the keys and had someone take our bags to our room. It was like a fairytale! She had a basket of goodies for us to use while we were there, offered some suggestions for dinner places and made reservations for us! The place was magical. We loved the balcony overlooking the ocean while drinking wine. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!
