The Oaks, Luxury 2 bedroom cottage in a peaceful location

Very clean and spacious.

Having two ensuite bathrooms was great. The cottage was very spacious. The location was great - both in itself and for our particular requirements - we were attending a wedding in Stowmarket and it was very convenient for this. The owner was very friendly and helpful when we needed assistance. We liked the non-intrusive approach, whilst it was reassuring to know they were on hand if the need arose - the ideal combination.

We found ourselves unable to lock the back door on the first night, despite our best efforts. We called the owner the following morning, and she came over and explained how very stiff the lock is and showed us the necessary 'knack'. Although quite luxurious in many ways,we felt that a few basics were missing - a serrated bread knife, place mats to protect the glass table, sockets near enough to a mirror to be able to dry one's hair whilst using a mirror. The plates etc were lovely but the addition of a few more would be appreciated - having put the dishwasher on late morning, when it came to lunchtime, we didn't have a spare set of dinner plates ti use for our lunch! Likewise mugs....

Location very peaceful but close to local amenities. We liked the open plan living space and comfy sofas. Had everything we needed. I cannot fault it.

Just one small thing that can be easily fixed. The shower in main bedroom could not be adjusted and we found it quite hot.

Very comfortable stay, extremely helpful with the two small queries that we raised.

Lovelly place would stay again

I booked two cottages here, and both were so lovely and had everything you'd need for a self-catering stay. The garden and surroundings were beautiful too, and we wished we were staying longer than the one night to take advantage of them. We hope to come back again soon for a longer stay.

Property was immaculate and really well planned so was absolutely perfect for our stay. Totally secure so felt very safe.
