Villa Aretousa 2

Vi har haft en otroligt härlig vecka i ett härligt hus som hade allt vi behövde. Grillplats för minst 12 personer, härlig pool för både vuxna och barn. Härligt utsikt över Agia Marina och havsutsikt. Det ligger närmare stranden än man tror - bra rask promenad. Kom ihåg att det blir mörkt på kvällen - ta med ficklampa.

The villa is in a beautiful location, the view is beautiful. The Villa itself is great it had everything we needed! Would highly recommend this villa for a holiday.

Everything from point of booking to arrival and stay was perfect. Everything has been catered for. The host was extremely responsive to any questions. It’s been the best Villa experience we’ve had to date.

We loved our stay at villa Aretousa 2! The outside area (pool and minigolf) made our stay perfect. The villa is modern and spacious. The host was really friendly and got us some groceries due to our late arrival.

Ritsa met us at the villa to hand over the keys and show us around. All very easy. She left a lovely hamper of food and drink for us and we asked her to get some coal for the BBQ which she bought and delivered to the villa whilst we were out and wouldn't take payment for. The villa has beautiful views of the sea and is a short 10-15 minute walk down into Agia Marinas strip which has loads of restaurants and beautiful beaches. The walk back up is a bit steep so probably not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There's a Lidl about 10 minutes drive from the villa which we went to a couple of times. There are local supermarkets on the strip but we didn't use them so not sure what they stock. There are lots of fantastic restaurants on the main strip so no shortage of good food. The only thing I thought was lacking in Agia Marina was bars but if you walk a bit further into Platanias, there are a few cocktail bars there. If you are walking down to Agia Marina at night you'll need your phone torch as there are no street lights and it is very dark.

We had an unfortunate experience on one evening when we walked past one of the other villas that had a couple of guard dogs in. The owner had left the gate unlocked and one of the dogs got out a bite one of our group. Luckily it was a superficial wound so she didn't need to go to hospital but it left us all very shaken. I contacted Ritsa the next day so she could speak to the owners and make sure they locked the gates, which she did straight away. We avoided walking past the villa on subsequent days! I want to stress this had nothing to do with the villa we rented and Ritsa dealt with the situation as best as she could as soon as she was told. Hopefully the dog owner will be more responsible in future.

The size of the villa was very spacious for 12 people. There is plenty of space in the living room/dining room. Bedrooms were a decent size, and en suits were very good. Outside bbq facilities were excellent, used most nights and swimming pool was fantastic. A welcome relief from the heat. Our host even asked for a grocery list to fill our fridge etc for us arriving which was very thoughtful.

Taxi prices were expensive. Nice walk down to the beach, but a steep walk back, especially in the heat. Would advise anyone wanting to sightsee to consider vehicle rental for a few days.

The villa is fantastic. It was clean and well equipped with everything you need. The location and views were out of this world. The villa owners were so welcoming and made our stay so special. We all spent a lot of time in the pool which was the perfect size to swim and play in. We had a mini golf tournament during our stay which was a great added bonus.

It’s not a dislike, the villa is up high so although the younger members of the group could walk it the older ones would get a taxi. It’s a small price to pay for the amazing sunsets and views of the sea and mountains.
