Chania Green House 2

Lovely outdoor space and great location!

Green House 2 is set in the most beautifully appointed garden space, away from the main road. The garden is wonderfully zoned, so you’ve got shaded outdoor seating areas to sit, eat and read in, as well as space around the raised area near the immaculately maintained pool and an outdoor shower area. Despite that serenity, it is within walking distance of some of the most wonderful places to eat we’ve ever found during travels in Greece. The accommodation at Green House 2 is immaculately presented - impeccable. An open plan space with a master bedroom, centred around a lounge/kitchen/dining area leading on to a further twin bedroom (which we used as a dressing room as there is only the two of us) and the bathroom/toilet. Plentiful storage and hanging space for whatever you’ve brought in your suitcase is available. We were greeted with a fridge full of those holiday essentials - fruit, wine, cheese, bread and eggs and cupboards were stocked with tea, instant coffee and sugar. All you need to get started. Aircon, Wi-fi, a contact grill (?), what more would anybody want? Replacement bedding and plentiful towels were on hand for the duration. All in all, Green House 2 is a perfect retreat for those seeking a home from home to unwind and relax in. AND, when it all gets too much, just throw yourself in the pool for a while then dry off with a book in the late afternoon as the sun goes down.

It didn’t cause us any issues, but one discrepancy in the listing; we always travel lightly on the basis that there’s a washing machine. In all the listings and references to Green House 2 it stated that there was a washing machine (and a dishwasher). Neither were in the property. There was handwashing liquid available and it was easy enough to wash and dry in less than a day. Literally NOT a deal breaker, but the listing needs updating.

Lovely, compact, little house with a big and beautiful outdoor area. The host was amazingly helpful and friendly.

The facility is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The owner welcomed us very well and told us everything about the place, restaurants and cafes. Score 10 for the facility, for the owner and his effort for our stay also 10.

The host waited us with a fridge full of fruits, water, bread, a bottle of wine. He was nice and provided us with all the information. The house is small, suited for a family with kids. It is comfortable and cozy.

The area of the house is a bit dark and isolated. There are a lot of mosquitos and ants.
