Doukas Caldera Suites

Immaculate property ….. was cozy, cute and comfortable. The location itself is an added bonus in the heart of all restaurants and shops. To top it all off, the host was beyond amazing. She went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable and is extremely thoughtful. She set up breakfast on the terrace , and also arranged a to go box packed with sandwiches, fruits croissants, juice box etc. as we were leaving early on day 2. She was extremely helpful in providing an itinerary of things to do as we were limited on timing. She made sure to arrange transportation to the port which I highly recommend. She paid attention to details ensuring we got everything we needed to make the stay comfortable. We travel a lot and I’m extremely picky and this place checked off all boxes. If I ever go back to Santorini, I would stay here again: I would give this property 100 if I could.

It is a beautiful place in a great location. The host is super friendly, helpful and just wonderful. She brought us breakfast every morning and it was delicious and there was plenty of it. We will definitely be back to stay here.

Everything Location is amazing. The size of the suite was suitable for family of 4. Andrea was very spectacular, she helped us in everything.

AMAZING 11/10!!! Andrea is lovely, she organised airport transfer for us, and met us on arrival. The breakfast she made was spectacular and she even made us a little breakfast box to go for our early morning ferry departure. The room itself is amazing. One of the best views in the area (in our opinion), the photos do not do it justice. We had breakfast and watched the sunset on the viewing platform every day. Inside it is very very spacious, comfortable bed- we slept very well. And despite being in the best location in Fira, inside the room was very quiet! And the indoor pool was also amazing! We will definitely stay again!

Nothing, everything was amazing

Very friendly, hospitable and helpful host. The room was cleaned to a high standard. The bed's very comfortable. The room was very large and well appointed. The small plunge pool /bath was all right for a cool off.

The view from the upstairs viewing deck didn't really face the sunset. You had to stand and look over a wall and couldn't use the lounges or chairs to see that sunset. There are also very hot and noisy air conditioner units on that viewing deck which make it a little bit noisy and uncomfortable. The indoor pool is more of a large bath, but it is handy to cool off after the very hot temperatures. It doesn't replace an outdoor pool. Although the breakfast was delivered to the room, it was pretty average for the price we paid.

Best sunset view, short walk to bustling Fira market, restaurants, taxi station, bus station. Remember, it is not a hotel. Someone has rented their space during your stay. Despite of that the owner custom considered our breakfast options. BTW breakfast is great. Terrace was a nice add-on, check the views from terrace attached. Overall, a wonderful option for families and a great way to avoid expensive Oia stay. Its just a 20 min ride to Oia, usually $35 one-way. The taxi ride arranged by this host to/from airport was super convenient. Our driver not only lifted our luggage on steep stairs but was very friendly. Highly recommend this place.

The vent in bathroom was outside the bath and toilet area... you know what I mean 👃. Plunge pool is more like a soaking pool. You cant really plunge because the water would overflow out on stairs. Nothing to be concerned if you are mindful that it is not a swimming pool. No ceiling fans and air conditioning takes long time, but it was peak summer. Remember this island is a hot destination for couples and this property is divided into 2 seperate units within a common compound securedby main gate. Our neighbors were chain smokers which we really didn't appreciate since we had a young daughter with us and also played loud songs late night. One of them accidently left the main gate unlocked and we had a non english speaking intruder who refused to leave, it was difficult to communicate and was an unnecessary experience. If you keep your main gate locked, it is safe to leave your main door open for fresh breeze and light when you're home. It took a day to adjust like you need at any new place. Overall, it is a safe place.

Friendly host and beautiful room. Everything was clean and simply magical. Beautiful balcony and loved the indoor pool. Breakfast was fresh and fulfilling. The location couldn't be any better right in the middle of it all. Adored my stay ♡
