Hector Cave House

Loved that it was right in the center of all the action, we could walk downstairs to plenty of restaurants, shops, and it had amazing views. Perfect amount of space for a family of 5.

Our stay was too short.

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) couldn't have chosen a better option in Oia. The place is wonderful and right in the middle of the city, close to the blue dome church. We rented the villa and it was perfect for the 4 of us. Faye is a wonderful host and replied to our messages immediately. If you are traveling with a family, this is the place.

Our stay at Hector cave Hause, thanks to Faye's super friendliness and kindness, was incredible. She was always there to solve any problems. The terrace room has incredible views. Super central, close to everything. Thank you for everything Faye, I hope to see you in Portugal.

Location, view, attentive staff, room was very comfortable.

We thought that, for the cost, breakfast should be included.

Everything! It was gorgeous, well maintained, and the staff was incredible. Faye was AMAZING and so helpful! Our stay in Oia would not have been the same without her.

The only issue was the shower. If you didn’t shut the door in just the right spot, the water leaked out and soaked the floor up to the mini fridge. It happened twice and the water dried very fast, but having a drain outside of the shower door would help the problem.

The view from the suite was outstanding. No sunset view from the room, but only a few steps away from the famous castle sunset of Oía. Hot tub was a wonderful addition for cooler nights in the shoulder season. Room was set up romantically for my partner and I upon arrival upon request (at an additional fee, however, this ended up being covered by the host). Dimitris was very helpful with carrying our bags to and from! Faye had nice recommendations for us during our stay.

The location is right in the heart of Oía, so it can get a little loud. One time we couldn’t even exit our door to get out because of the sheer volume of people. Also, due to circumstances (weather) that I couldn’t control, we got stuck in Skiathos and didn’t make it our first night; they did not give me a refund for that night. They did, however, cover the expense of the set up in the room and our transfers to and from. This did not come anywhere near the charge of the room. We also did not get our room cleaned because we were then only there for 3 nights instead of 4. One day, the individual was feeling sick which is understandable. But, the room is so small, and by the time we were leaving on day 3, we had our very small trash bins overflowing and had to change our own sheets etc. While the hosts checked in often, which was appreciated, it felt the most impersonal to me of all of our stays in Greece.

The location is one of dreams. The staff was very helpful and friendly, they left us a bottle of wine in the room which was a very welcome surprise. Our ferry was cancelled on the day and the staff allowed us to stay in the property for an extra few hours to allow us to rearrange our travels.

Everything was great.

Perfect location in Oia at the castle end. Greeted at the arranged drop off point by the hosts Dimitri and Faye who helped take our bags to the Caldera Nest Studio. The location is perfect as you can literally close the gate on the crowds and head into your own private oasis out of sight of everyone. the balcony is absolutely unbelievable, large with a private hot tub, table and chairs and an uninterrupted view out over the Caldera, Santorini and the castle ruins. The Nest is a cute and rustic well appointed cave house perfect for a couple and has all the amenities you could need. Faye is available for anything you may need, answered any questions we had promptly and checking out is just as easy with help to get your bags back to the transfer location.

Nothing its absolutely brilliant!

Great location! Super near where the sunset viewing is. Quite a walk but a very enjoyable walk to the many restaurants. Love that they also gave a gift for us (a salad set with olive oil, olives and dried herbs) and a bottle of wine! So sweet! They also gave a map of the area and some great restaurant suggestions. The room size was good for two people. My husband and I enjoyed the warm outdoor tub.

There was a time when electricity was down for some of the sockets, but other than that, it was great!
