Villa Elisabeth

Très jolie villa avec vue mer et montagne entre la Canée et Héraklion dans un environnement calme propice à la détente. Dîner prévu lors de notre arrivée (fort appréciable), nombreuses petites attention pendant notre séjour, le propriétaire et sa famille se sont montrés aux petits soins. Une très bonne adresse. Il etait aussi très appréciable d'avoir à disposition de nombreux équipements tant en linge de maison que concernant la cuisine et le jardin.

The villa was the best holiday property we have ever stayed in. The interior was clean and bright and very well equipped with books, games and a very good kitchen. Good beds and aircon. The exterior was spacious, well tended and beautiful. Wonderful and very clean pool, extremely private and secluded and lovely panoramic views of mountain and sea. Extremely relaxing. We were welcomed warmly by the Kardasis family, who made clear not only their pride in the villa, but how important it was to them that their guests had a wonderful time there. We received home-cooked food (delicious!) on arrival, fruit, honey, olive oil… just really thoughtful touches that elevated the holiday even further. Whilst the property had good access to Rethymno, we particularly like Panormos just 10 minutes up the road…the small cobbled centre, pavement restaurants and waterside bars and eateries were lovely. Overall, travel around Crete was good with easy access to the Route 90 highway.

There were no issues of any significance.

Antonis and his father Stelios are to be awarded the most welcoming and accomodating host Award! They've went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible and we can say they've greatly succeeded! Located on the top of the hill it gives a surreal picture of the sea, mountains and valley covered with olive trees. We couldnt find anything this villa didnt have! All we needed was there: Kitchen ware, Table ware, bbq, kids toys and board games, ping pong table, samsung tablet, suncream, sewing kit, toiletries, AC in each room working flawlessly with multiple settings, super WiFi indoors and outdoors the list truly is endless!! Everywhere you looked it was spotless!! Sheets were changed and cleaned twice during our stay and so was the pool. The interior was so modern and new all appliances worked perfectly!! The garden, pool,driveway, essentially all amenaties were kept extremley tidy and clean. The village Perama and Panormos offered a great selection of traditional restaurants (tavernas) and local souviner shops along with supermarkets. Beautiful beaches are nearby from 10-25 minute drive. Overall experince is a 10/10 and truly beyond our expectations thanks to the lovely hosts!! We 100% reccomend Villa Elizabeth for anyone visiting Crete!!

Absolutely amazing villa. We had such a warm welcome and so many lovely treats left for us. Often we go away and have to buy extra bits like dishwasher tablets, soap etc. Here everything has been thought of. We didn't need anything at all. Our children had the time of their lives with the play area, little shallow pool and all the toys. It was hard to say goodbye to the dragon. So nice to have a comfortable cot for our little one too. Often there has been no proper matress when we've been away to other places. The villa is spotlessly clean and the lady who cleans was lovely too, even tucking our little one's bunny toy in her nice clean bed. We had a dust storm while we were there and we were amazed at the extra cleaning to put everything right for us. The family clearly really care so much about their guests and ensuring an excellent stay. Great location and plenty to see and do within an hour so we didn't have to spend hours in the car with the kids. Thank you for recommending things to do. So sad to leave. It was the best holiday ever!

We cant think of anything we didnt like. The only thing we can think to suggest was a couple more plastic cups/bowls for the kids would have been useful. Only because we were worried they might smash your plates but they did manage not to😅 Thank you for having us.

We stayed at Villa Elisabeth for a fortnight in June 2024. We stayed as a family of four with a five month old and a four year old. We really couldn’t have wished for anything more for the children. Antonis and his family had provided a lovely big travel cot, high chair, there was a stair gate, potty, baby bath, a bed bumper and toys! Never have I stayed anywhere that has provided so much for children. Upon arrival we had been left a wonderful welcome meal which was absolutely delicious! Also there was everything we needed for about two days. Therefore we didn’t need to rush off to the shop for a couple of days. (Although that is no big deal as there’s plenty of shops, bakeries and tavernas within east reach. ) The location is spectacular! Really wonderful to be somewhere rural and look into mountains and the sea in the distance. Melidoni is within easy reach in a car and is beautiful. We had a car and loved driving around Crete. However Perama is within easy walking distance and is a great and very friendly place too. My son was often given free lollies and ice cream when we were out. Which was so nice. Antonis and his family even provided their own eggs, olive oil, honey and a freshly baked cake during our stay. The villa itself is beautifully clean and the bedding is all absolutely spotless. We had a clean half way through our stay too which was great. The pool and outside areas are really so incredible and are kept looking immaculate. Lots of beautiful plants and flowers. We loved all the nature surrounding us. Just a wonderful place to be and we enjoyed every second. I also left some important items behind at the villa and Antonis was brilliant in helping me sort that out. The accommodation and hospitality are incredible. Thank you again!
