Villa Eftichia

Overall I like the house and the yard. Its located on the hill so the view was great.

dogs, cats and roosters were quite loud at night.

The house was exceptional, tastefully decorated and in excellent condition with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, two terraces with great panoramic views and a very nice pool, centrally located in the small village of Stalos near Chania. During our stay, the neighboring house was empty, so we had the pool and the outdoor area to ourselves. The village of Statos has three restaurants, one of which (the Leventis) is owned by the owner of the house and is one of the best in Crete. Since the restaurant is open until after midnight, handing over the keys in the evening was also no problem. Parking was also no problem, as the house also has a garage. It is a little more than a kilometer to the nearby sandy beach. On the promenade there are many also recommendable restaurants and small stores. The larger supermarkets can be reached in less than 15 minutes by car. We can recommend the house to anyone who wants to explore the west of Crete and spend an evening or two in the historic port of Chania. We went to the botanical garden in Skordalou, the great Elafonisi beach, the nearby Agii Apostoli beach and several times in Chania for dinner. This house is one of the most beautiful ones around Chania!

- The house is charming and well equiped (3 bathrooms and toilets, kitchen with stuff, A/C...) - Location is good for whose who don t want to be in a busy area but close enough to the city. You can be in the "city" on the coast by 20-30min walk, depends of you. - the pool is pretty cool - good communication with the owners

- the pool could be shared (depends if you have other guest or not in the house next to the villa). We have shared it for 3 days and it was frustrating ! (My advise : Do not hesitate to ask if there is another one booking if you want to be sure to have the pool and outdoor space only for you) - the pool was not cleaned regularly (unfortunately). We needed to ask for it - you can only use 1 parking slot inside (therefore, if there are other guests, one of the car should be parked outside...)

Aggeliki was a fantastic host. She was kind, available and made our stay very comfortable. The villa is beautiful, clean and rooms were a good size. We loved the terrace and pool area too. The views were amazing. Aggeliki made everything available to us and even arranged a comfortable travel cot with mattress for our daughter. The villa is located in a quiet village with several tavernas in walking distance.

Nothing we didnt like but the villa is probably not best for toddlers due to stairs and there was no mini market in the village, which would have helped but shops a few mins drive away.

- the villa is very clean and spacios, perfect for 2 couples; - the host was very nice and responsive, we have communicated very well during our stay; - the villa is very cozy, having separate bedrooms on each floor, each one with private bathroom and terace; - there is an extra bathroom at the ground floor; - the kitchen is very well equiped; - the villa is located in a quiet place near Stalos (approx. 2km), where you can find restaurants, supermarkets, beaches, etc. - swimming pool, sunbeds and everything you need for a lazy afternoon; - we will certainly come back in the next years.
