Villa Anemos by Estia

Stella was lovely and helped us with booking a taxi and ordering some food for our late arrival from the airport. The villa was beautiful with fantastic views and we had a wonderful holiday.

A fantastic place with a great view and all amenities necessary. The host waited for us on arrival and left us with a stocked fridge and some wine. The area is grreat, just a 5 min walk to the beach and 2 mins to the closest tavern. Pool was a hit for the kids.

Views out to sea were fantastic. Location and accommodation very good for our group, easy to drive to Chania (car essential for stay) Lovely to lazes in pool in the early evening. Local beach, lovely shallow sands - excellent for evening dip.

We were 4 adults and the fourth bedroom was geared more for children. We were aware so it was expected. Other 3 bedrooms were good (main was excellent). Under the airport flightpath, again expected, but flights did not disturb us even when busy over weekend. Airforce jets were far louder.

Beautiful villa. Clean and very well stocked for your stay. Excellent host, always ready to help if needed. Swim in beautiful clear water from the garden. Beach very close. Pool also lovely.

No negatives from us. Some people might not like that it's on the flight path of military jets. Fascinating to watch but loud!

The villa is stunning. Has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The owner is lovely and very accommodating. The views you get at sunset are breathtaking, we made many happy memories here as a family and would not hesitate to go back. Their are 2 restaurants within walking distance as well as a beach cafe. Also a small shop about 10 minutes walk away (uphill). The beaches close by are beautiful and have golden sand (not pebbles) our kids loved playing in the shallow water and the occasional waves that come to shore. Great for snorkelling too as lots of fish to see. The beds were extremely comfortable with Aircon in every room. The layout is a main double bedroom across from 2 single bedrooms. (One had extra pull out bed). Main living area and kitchen diner area are open plan, leading to a terrace with table to enjoy food outdoors with a view. Shutters on all windows which are amazing for daytime naps and the early sun. The room with the bunk beds is downstairs under the terrace which is accessible by external stairs, which meant we had to change our sleeping plans for the kids but it wasn't a big issue. Pool is warm and 1.5m deep throughout. I'd take water shoes for access to the sea from the back of the villa as the rocks can be sharp.

Everything was perfect, perhaps if you want to see more of Crete id recommend hiring a car (horafakia car rentals are very reasonable) as their is no buses in the local area and taxis are expensive. The villa has 2 covered car ports but the driveway is steep so watch your clutch if you get a manual.
