Cretan Vineyard Hill Villa

A great place to relax! Helpful hosts and really quiet space. There is entertainment for both children and parents. The wines offered by the house are tasty and you can spend quiet evenings on the beautiful terrace.

This villa is really exceptional. It is beautifully located with views to the sea and the mountains across the vineyards. Everything has a feeling of quality about it, no effort has been spared in creating a really lovely living space. There are so many different areas inside and out to sit and relax and enjoy different views. And we had loads of fun playing games of pool and table tennis and splashing about in the pool. It is so well equipped with everything you could need and has a very central location on the island, making it easy to go sightseeing. We drove as far as Chania in one direction and Agios Nikolaos in the other. It's an easy drive up to the Lesithi Plateau and the villa is close to the road that takes you South, making Festos and Gortys within easy reach. We headed south again to Matala where we had a great time snorkelling. Rethymno was also just over an hour away. You do need a hire car to make the most of all there is to see on the island. But what makes this villa really special is the welcome that Kostas and his family gave to us; they could not have been more kind or hospitable. We were driving from Chania airport and arriving late so we suggested Kostas leave a key for us. But he wouldn't hear of it, he wanted to be there to greet us and show us around and really that set the tone for the whole holiday. On our arrival we found the fridge was filled with local products, eggs, olive oil, Raki, cheese, wine, nuts and fruit. His mother Amalia had baked us a lovely home-made cake and when we finished it and said how much we'd enjoyed it she made us another one! She also cooked us a delicious meal one evening. Kostas would message us regularly just to check everything was fine. He and his parents were attentive without ever being intrusive and all of us would like to thank them for being such exceptional hosts. It goes without saying that when we come back to Crete we will stay here again.

The Villa was well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Kostas and his parents took every effort to make sure all our needs were met, stocking the house with milk, water, juice, their own wine, olive oil and raki, fruit and a home baked cake! They were contactable and responded quickly to any problems we had. Would definitely recommend!

wonderful villa and exceptional hosts. if you are considering a holiday here you will not regret. outstanding and probably the best villa I have stayed in. would go back in a heartbeat.
